Spreading Holiday Cheer in Clermont: Home Instead’s Be A Santa to a Senior Success Story
In 2025 holiday season, Home Instead, Clermont brought the spirit of giving to life with its 4th Annual Be A Santa to a Senior event — and what a celebration it was! Thanks to the generosity of local volunteers, businesses, and community partners, nearly 1,500 gifts were collected and delivered to seniors in need, making the holidays brighter for many who might otherwise be forgotten.
The event’s impact didn’t go unnoticed — Home Instead, Clermont efforts were proudly featured in the Clermont Sun Newspaper, showcasing how neighbors came together to support aging adults in our community. Local coverage celebrated the increase in participation and highlighted the joy these thoughtful gifts brought to seniors throughout Clermont.
In addition, South Lake TV captured the magic of the day, sharing heartwarming stories and footage from the event, including visits to Clermont Health & Rehabilitation where seniors received their gifts and heartfelt holiday cheer.
2025 Be A Santa to a Senior was more than a gift drive — it was a reminder of the power of community and connection. Home Instead, Clermont is honored to be part of a tradition that spreads warmth, love, and joy to older adults every holiday season. Be a Santa to a Senior is a nationwide program that provides gifts and companionship to seniors. Home Instead partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors for a gift because they might not receive one otherwise. Be a Santa to a Senior relies on the generosity of our community and local volunteers. Since its inception in 2003, more than 65,000 volunteers have helped distribute 2.1 million gifts to more than 750,000 deserving seniors.
