Independence Day is always a time to gather with neighbors and celebrate the nation with fireworks, but this year is extra special as we mark America’s historic 250th anniversary. The celebration takes place on America's birthday, Saturday, July 4th, at Riverbend Park, 50 Montgomery Street. Spend the morning browsing fresh produce at the Farmers Market, then visit downtown Oroville's unique shops, restaurants, coffee houses, and local businesses. Many businesses may offer special promotions, activities, or holiday-themed experiences throughout the day. Finish off the night with a patriotic pre-show program, the National Anthem at 9pm, and a fireworks show at 9:30pm. Just remember to pack your favorite lawn chairs and blankets for a comfortable evening under the stars.
