The entire Home Instead of Goodyear management team has been amazingly responsive in putting multiple plans in place to support my sister during her bone marrow transplant at home recovery period.
My sister's day time caregiver, Ann, has been instrumental in helping my sister with her recovery goals. Ann is always on time and makes sure my sister is safely transported to her many medical appointments, she is keeping my sister organized and fed, and is attentive to all her complex medical issues. She has made it possible for me to continue my life and travels, and I feel comfortable and assured that my sister is being supported by a fabulous team at Home Instead of Goodyear, AZ.
- By James B.I am a previously active 68 yr old male, but a few months ago I had a massive heart attack. I spent the next month in and out of the hospital due to complications, confined to bed because I was a fall risk. By the time I was finally released I had lost 35 lbs and was weaker than I have ever been. My heart was functioning at 15% of normal and I could see that my cardiologist had pretty much given up on me.
Because I live alone and don't have any family in the area, I engaged the home care services of Home Instead Goodyear. My two main care givers were Priscilla in the mornings and Emily in the evenings, and both were amazing. Not only were they good company at a time when my life was very dark but they took their jobs very seriously, always by my side, always watching out for me. I never once fell while in their care.
Priscilla helped me register at two fitness centers near me and helped me do the exercises assigned by my Physical Therapist. She took me to exercise every day M-F for six weeks, always at my side, providing guidance and support. My heart is now functioning at 45% and with some good lifestyle choices, I'm told I should be able to live a pretty normal life. I don't think it is an exaggeration to say that Priscilla's commitment and compassion saved my life, for which I will always be grateful.
The administrative/management professionals including KeAvae and Melissa were also great. Because I had a pretty hectic follow up schedule, I was constantly requesting changes in caregiver hours, and every time I called the office they cheerfully accommodated my requests.
I just can't say enough about the amazing care I was given by the team at Home Instead Goodyear, but I can say THANK YOU!!!

I can't say enough about how pleased we were with the care provided for our father during the last months of his life. We contacted KeAvae to arrange 24 care for our father. KeAvae handled the arrangements very quickly and had caregivers assigned within a couple of days. Each and every one of the care givers was a blessing to our family. They offered excellent care to our father and were a great source of comfort to us. Each of the caregivers we dealt with were very skilled and extremely compassionate. Two of the caregivers stood out in particular, Lety and Michelle. Both of them were able to make a special connection with Dad and he responded to them really well. They were very patient with him, encouraged him to eat and drink, took him for walks and joined him in sitting in the sun, one of his favorite past times. Even as his care became more involved they handled his care with great skill and confidence and were still able to make a connection. Both went over and above our expectations and we are eternally grateful for their presence during Dad's last days.
I would definitely recommend Home Instead and would absolutely use them again if the need were to arise.

KeAvae was the intake nurse, Rodora and Tamara the care givers- kind and caring, they felt like family. At the end of mom’s life Rodora shared things mom had talked about. It touched my heart at the things that were shared.
