Chuck Hiers, Owner
Chuck Hiers, a native of Charleston, SC, started his career in the banking industry. In 2010, his sister passed away, who was the family caregiver to their parents. At that time, Chuck stepped into the primary role of assisting his parents with making sure their daily needs are being met. During this process, he realized he wanted something more professionally and personally rewarding while making a difference in other people's lives. He learned about Home Instead while trying to help his parents. Chuck was so impressed by the company, its core values, and the enrichment it brought to senior's lives that he made the decision to purchase the franchise here in Clinton, MS. He is married to Jill Hiers and they have two beautiful children, Caroline and Garrett.
Jill Hiers, Home Care Consultant
Tori McCall, CNA, Client Services Manager
Tori joined Home Instead in January 2020 as our Recruitment & Retention Specialist. Her responsibilities include recruitment efforts, interviewing perspective new hires, processing background information, and orientation training. After only being here a little over a year, she was promoted to Client Service Coordinator to oversee scheduling for our clients and CAREGivers. And most recently promoted to Client Services Manager where she oversees all aspects of our client's care. Tori's Certified Nursing Assistant background and experience ensures our clients needs and expectations are being met. She lives in Edwards, MS with her husband and two children.
Barbara Pickle, Client Care Consultant
Barbara Pickle has been with Home Instead since February 2010. She started out as the Recruitment Coordinator and was promoted to our Client Care Representative. After having my own business, 'Barbara's Pickles and Tickles; for 24 yrs., I felt I needed a change after the loss of my husband and parents. I wanted my life to have meaning, by coming to Home Instead I feel that I now have a very important purpose in life by going out into the community and educating families about our services that meet the needs of seniors in order for them to maintain as healthy and productive quality of life as possible. Barbara has two sons, James and Joseph, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Petronia Ellis - Client Care Coordinator
Petronia Ellis is a Licensed Master Social worker (LMSW) who is passionate about serving older adults and their families. She joined the Home Instead team as a Client Care Coordinator December 2025. She has over 26 years of Social Work experience. With a strong background in care coordination, advocacy, and psychosocial support. Petronia will help clients navigate life transitions while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. She will work closely with families to ensure care plans reflect each client’s unique needs and goals. Petronia values empathy, collaboration, and respect. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and providing individualized support that aligns with Home Instead mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults. Petronia is a native of MS, a dedicated wife, and a mother of 3. Her motto is “Advocate, Empower, Heal”.
Carol Templeton - Service Coordinator
Carol is a dedicated and compassionate Service Coordinator at Home Instead, where she has excelled since joining in September 2024. With a rich background in caregiving, Carol brings four years of hands-on experience providing loving care for a family member. Her profound empathy and adaptable nature have made her a seamless fit in her role at Home Instead.
Residing in Pearl, Mississippi, Carol leads a fulfilling personal life with her husband, Tevin, and their delightful daughter, Nova. Balancing her professional and family commitments, Carol continues to prioritize providing exceptional, client-focused caregiving services, embodying Home Instead’s mission to enhance the lives of seniors and their families.
Carol’s journey reflects her deep commitment to caregiving and her unwavering dedication to creating comforting and supportive environments for those she serves.
Kerri Adams, Home Care Coordinator
Kerri joined our team in 2025 and is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in the senior care and senior living industry. She has successfully led multi-state sales teams driving growth and improving overall performance through strategic planning and relationship-centered selling.
Her expertise lies in developing data-driven marketing strategies and fostering strong referral networks within the healthcare industry. Kerri enjoys collaborating with the different entities within the healthcare community to help create a supportive plan for senior adults that meet both the emotional and practical needs of seniors and their families.
Outside of work, Kerri enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, gardening, baking and having play dates with her 2 year old granddaughter.
Kay Miller, Retention & Engagement Coordinator
Kay has been with Home Instead since March 2014 and is our Recruitment & Retention Coordinator where she oversees the retention of our existing CAREGivers where she recognizes their birthdays and work anniversaries along with creating social media content for FaceBook and Instagram. She first started out as our Staffing Coordinator where her responsibilities included scheduling appointments for our CAREGivers to provide services to our clients. She enjoys interacting not only with the CAREGivers, but also the clients in order to make sure we provide consistent care so our clients are well taken care of to maintain their quality of living. Kay has been married to Felton for over 25 years and they have a beautiful daughter, Leah. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, but especially loves her time shopping with Leah.
Meari Magee - Recruitment Coordinator
Meari Magee is the Recruitment Coordinator, she joined Home Instead in December of 2025 and plays a key role in connecting talented professionals with meaningful opportunities within our organization. She brings a people-first approach to recruiting, focusing on building strong relationships and ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
With a deep sense of compassion, Meari is dedicated to helping others and is intentional about ensuring every individual feels respected, supported, and valued throughout the recruitment process. She is especially focused on creating welcoming experiences and believes that treating people well is the foundation of building strong, successful teams.
Beyond her professional role, Meari is a devoted wife and takes pride in caring for her brother and sister. These relationships shape her empathetic approach to both work and life, reinforcing her commitment to kindness, patience, and genuine human connection.
