As the General Manager of Home Instead Senior Care – Olympia, Colleen Barnes brings a strong background in both senior services and business management. A 15-year veteran of the senior industry, Colleen has served older adults in a variety of settings, including a skilled nursing facility, retirement and assisted living communities, as well as a company that specializes in unique real estate solutions for seniors. Her most recent assignment was as a Home Care Consultant and Client Care Manager with Home Instead – Seattle. In addition to her professional experience, Colleen has been tasked with providing or overseeing the care of her parents and in-laws over the years. Prior to entering the senior industry, Colleen managed 5 specialty retail establishments and oversaw the operations of 16 stores as a district operations manager. She holds an AAS degree in Medical Assisting which aids in a better understanding of the needs of Home Instead's clients. In her free time, Colleen enjoys the creative arts and international travel with her husband, two sons, and daughter-in-law. She finds it a true honor and privilege to serve our deserving senior clients, their families, and the amazing team of Home Instead CAREGivers.
Racheal Thomas began working at Home Instead Senior Care in 2017 as an Office Coordinator. She has always enjoyed working with people and knew Home Instead Senior Care would be a great fit. What she loves most about her job is getting to know the clients and feeling a part of making them happy. Getting a smile from a client or caregiver makes her day! When not changing the face of aging, Racheal enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband and 4 girls. They like to go hiking, spend time outdoors and traveling. She is originally from New York. She also likes to create a variety of hot sauces.
Susi Mantyla works at the Olympia Home Instead Senior Care office as a Service Coordinator. Her first exposure to Home Instead Senior Care was as a CAREGiver. She quickly realized she loved what she did so she then became the Office Coordinator, helping out at the front desk. She has settled into her role currently which is Service Coordinator. Susi is the voice many hear when working to make great matches between the client and the CAREGiver. Outside of work, Susi and her husband enjoy travel which has included amazing locations such as, New Zealand, Hawaii, and all over the U.S. They also enjoy family time with their daughter and son in law, and 2 rescue dogs.
