The Olympia office of Home Instead is currently owned by Rhyan and Kari Smith, who both grew up in Olympia, and is managed by Connie Royster, and has been providing caring and compassionate services for seniors in the Olympia area since 2007.

We are also involved in our community, as we participate in many fundraisers. As a member of the Home Instead family, we take much pride in providing additional help where needed for other organizations such as the Alzheimer Society and Meals on Wheels through Senior Services for South Sound.

Building great relationships with our Care Professionals (Care Pros) is JUST as important to us as the relationships we build with our clients.
The Olympia office also has its own community service initiatives including the annual “Be a Santa to a Senior” event, in which many deserving seniors are provided gifts where, in some cases there are no family members to share the holiday season with. We have provided hundreds of gifts over the past few years to seniors in our local community.
Prospective Care Pros are carefully chosen for their character and skills to insure the best quality care. The applicants undergo reference checks, a criminal background check and a driver’s abstract. Home Instead is a full employment agency and is responsible for withholding and paying employment deductions as well as Worker’s Compensation insurance. The on-going training for Care Pros helps them develop personally and professionally. The training ranges from “Basic, Advanced and Safety” Care Professional training all the way up to “Alzheimers and Dementia Care” training as well as a very comprehensive training program for providing palliative care.
