Mechelle Minter - Owner and President

Mechelle is the President of MD Services, Inc., d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care, serving clients in central Houston.  Mechelle has had a passion for seniors and for helping others since she was a young girl and it is that passion that led her to Home Instead Senior Care.  Mechelle took a leave of absence early in her career to personally help care for her great-grandmother during the last few months of her beautiful 92 years of life and recalls that time as one of the most rewarding experiences of her life!  "I count it an absolute blessing and privilege for our Company to have the opportunity to provide service to our clients."  It is in this spirit that Mechelle seeks to nourish relationships between clients and CAREGivers, as well as between CAREGivers and our office staff.

It is Mechelle's responsibility to ensure that the company maintains and follows its primary mission which is to provide quality, affordable non-medical in-home care to seniors which allows them to remain living independently in their own homes for a longer period of time.  Mechelle is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of care for all clients and ensuring that guidelines and regulations of the Home & Community Support Services License issued by the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services are followed.

Mechelle is a lifelong Texan and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1987 with a degree in Accounting.  She moved to Houston in January 1988 and started her career in the energy sector with Tenneco Energy.  She earned her Certified Public Accountant's license and later joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where she served clients in numerous industries.  Mechelle formed Minter Consulting in 2002 and served clients in that capacity until joining Home Instead Senior Care in 2013.

Mechelle enjoys travelling and lives a blessed, busy, active life with her husband, David, and two sons, Cayman and Laysan. 


Angie Hogan - Recruiting and Retention Coordinator

Angie Hogan - Recruiting and Retention Coordinator

Angie is the Recruiting and Retention Coordinator for our office.  In this role, she is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and retention of our amazing CAREGivers. She is responsible for the processing of insurance claims for client billing and alternates On-Call with the office staff.

Angie was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, IL. After receiving her high school diploma, she enrolled into Harold Washington College, earning her certificate as a CNA. Wanting to further her education, she enrolled at the University of Phoenix and began taking online courses, earning her Associates of Arts degree. Angie is presently attending Moody Bible Institute and will be graduating in May of 2016 with her Bachelors of Science Degree in Ministry Leadership.

Before relocating to Houston, Angie worked in Human Resources as a Personnel Assistant. During times of leisure, Angie enjoys reading and spending quality time with her three children.


Mary Raffety - Client Care Manager

Mary Raffety - Client Care Manager

Mary is a 3rd generation, native Houstonian and graduated from St. Agnes Academy and the University of Houston with a degree in Healthcare Administration.    Mary is the Client Care Manager and is responsible conducting initial care consultations with clients and families, as well as ongoing communication with clients and client families.  She also oversees our Quality Assurance Program and performs supervisory visits to ensure client needs are met with the highest quality of care.

Mary has an extensive background in healthcare, with experience managing admissions departments in LTACH's and home health companies and was previously a Community Liaison, sharing the benefits of hospice for the terminally ill.

Mary is the mother of two grown sons and very proud "Grandma" of Aiden Michael.  She was born and raised in a large Irish/Catholic family with strong ties to the Houston community where all eleven siblings and Mother still live.  Mary has 'never met a stranger', has a huge heart for seniors and people in general, and shares that love with our clients and CAREGivers alike. 

Mary is an avid sports fan spending most of her time passionately watching her teams, especially The Texans, Astros and Rockets!
