On Call Care Pro / Administrative Assistant

Home Instead in Central Houston is looking for an On-Call Caregiver and Administrative Assistant!

The Care Pro On-Call and Administrative Assistant is expected to perform a variety of on-call duties and office assistance.

This position will be guaranteed a minimum pay based on 40 hours a week. Primary duties include covering any shifts that you are called upon to work Monday through Sunday, day or night shifts, along with assisting in the office.

You will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek. Office hours may be adjusted in some weeks to avoid working excessive hours. You will be compensated for any mileage in excess of the roundtrip miles from your home to the office.

Other requirements:

  • Can not have any other jobs that would interfere with this position.
  • Required to cover shift Monday-Sunday
  • Keep phone charged, with you at all times and answer any calls from Home Instead and representatives of Home Instead (e.g., after-hours on-call service).
  • Be available to be at a shift with as little as an hour’s notice.
  • Ensure vehicle is maintained and has gas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reflect the core values of MD Services, Inc. , (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise).
  • Work any shifts called upon to work.
  • Review schedule with designated Service Coordinator and become aware of any potential trouble spots that might arise.
  • Obtain any resources needed for on call responsibilities.
  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and respond quickly to their needs.
  • Complete Care Pro intros.
  • Fill in on assignments that come open
  • Communicate client and Care Pro concerns or problems with owner or designated key player.
  • Field new client & Care Pro inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner and schedule care consultations
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and Care Pros
  • Ensure Home Instead standards are met and upheld
