At Home Instead Senior Care, our CAREGivers enjoy benefits including the following:
  • ​Flexible Scheduling: Shifts available in various blocks of time during the day and on each day of the week. We ask for a set availability which is the start time and end time on each day that you would be able to work with a client. When staffing, we also take into account your location and personal interests when placing you with a client.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Incidental transportation for errands and appointments
  • Assistance for supervision and prompting with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance for supervision and prompting with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

Requirements to be CAREGiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to but no more than 25 pounds
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs, alternating steps, with and without load
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance

After-Hours Coordinator
Part-time Weekends* 
(paid per shift)
Shift(s): Every other weekend from 5:00 PM Friday to 9:00 AM Monday*(Some weekday evenings as needed)

Work Location: This is a position that allows an individual to work from home. Candidates for this position must be located within our company's service area of Buffalo/Northern Erie County. After-Hours Coordinators may be needed to complete CAREGiver introductions during their shift time or make a visit to a client's home to support in case of emergency.

Are you a self-starter? Do you enjoy the flexibility of working from home?  Home Instead Senior Care® is looking for an individual to add to our existing team of After-Hours staff. An After-Hours Coordinator will ensure that both our clients and CAREGivers receive continuous and responsive support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

The After-Hours Coordinator is responsible for answering incoming phone calls from the end of regular business at 5:00 PM Friday until regular business hours resume Monday morning at 9:00 AM. There is also a requirement to have availability to fill-in during a week night as needed with the other members of the After-Hours team.  

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, excels with multi-tasking, exudes a positive attitude when faced with a challenge, and has a strong ability to recognize and understand the needs of customers. You will coordinate and schedule back-up care for our clients, support CAREGivers in providing care, and communicate messages to administrative team members.  Join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. 
 
Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • High level of efficiency in all forms of communication
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be compliant with New York State Motor Vehicle laws
  • Must follow the Policy that pertains to Driver's License requirements as a condition of employment 
  • Knowledge or experience of the senior care industry preferred
  • Must be computer proficient (I.E. Microsoft Products, internet browsing, smartphone usage, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of information
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen, professional and personal reference checks
***Please be aware that the required training for this position will take place physically at our office location during regular business hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The training period is approximately two-weeks.***
