Human Resources Supervisor & Retention Specialist 
Home Instead Senior Care in Granville is looking for a full-time HR Supervisor & Retention Specialist to join our growing HR team.  Home Instead Senior Care is proud of our positive culture and low CAREGiver turnover.  This position plays a key role in maintaining our excellent reputation as the employer of choice in our area, insuring a positive CAREGiver experience.  CAREGivers are our most important asset, and this position helps ensure that our CAREGivers always feel recognized, encouraged and connected to our office staff.


Key Components:

  • Minimize turnover by reflecting our positive culture and insuring a positive CAREGiver experience
  • Plan and host fun CAREGiver engagement events
  • Work with Service Coordinators to ensure CAREGivers are being utilized appropriately and to maximum, positive benefit
  • Work with Training Department to identify areas for on-going CAREGiver training and development 
  • Schedule and conduct CAREGiver performance reviews, on-going coaching and performance management
  • Monitor CAREGivers in their first 90 days of employment, making sure they get off to a good start
  • Help with CAREGiver on-boarding and training as needed 
  • Recognize and reward CAREGivers for work milestones and exceptional CAREGiving
Candidates must display:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to listen effectively, give constructive feedback and guide difficult conversations to positive conclusions
  • Exude positivity, compassion and enjoy being creative
Education/Experience Requirement:
  • HR and/or CAREGiving experience a plus
  • Supervisory and senior care industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional office environment.
