Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Part-time, flexible, scheduling.  No Heavy Lifting.  Benefits can include: paid vacation, paid training, health insurance, and more!     Mon-Fri daytime shifts currently available!

Now Higher Wages:  Weekday Daytime wages starting from $11.00-$13.00/hour.  

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer’s Care
*No previous experience necessary - skills training provided by Home Instead Senior Care*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner

CAREGivers to help staff Assisted Living Facilities

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care, a provider of home helper, personal care, and Alzheimer's care for seniors in their homes, is seeking friendly, cheerful, and dependable people.

Local assisted living facilities request CAREGivers to help the staff care for the clients who live at the facility. These shifts are available on a weekly basis and offer an opportunity for higher wages! (Weekdays $13.00/hour and $15.00/hour for weekends or overnight shifts). Shifts are generally 8 hours in length and involve helping clients with their daily activities which frequently includes personal care.

CAREGivers assist seniors with personal care, safety supervision, help transport to and from meals, and more.

CAREGivers have a choice of part-time, flexible, schedules, including: day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

**Shifts currently available at this time!

**Now higher wages for facility staffing shifts: $13.00/hour weekday shifts, $15.00/hour for weekends or overnight shifts.

Benefits can include: paid vacation time, bonuses, specialized training, and more.

Care Coordinator

Job Details

Home Instead Senior Care provides care to Seniors in their homes. Our CAREGivers assist aging adults in private homes or local care facilities to enhance their lives and assist with daily tasks. We help with personal care, Alzheimer's care, light housekeeping, errands, escort to medical appointments, companionship, meal preparation, and more.

We are looking for a Care Coordinator/Scheduler for our Shelburne VT office.  The Care Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling service for clients. 

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain client and CAREGiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships
  • Monitor, mediate, and log all client and CAREGiver activity utilizing the software system
  • Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Follow up with all client and CAREGiver issues to ensure their problems are resolved
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team

Skills

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgement and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, quarterly, monthly, and yearly work
  • Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, clients and CAREGivers
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have the ability to operate office equipment
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the senior care industry

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
