"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
Colette has been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years. In 2001, she decided to make a career change, but wanted to continue helping others. While searching for the right opportunity, she discovered Home Instead Senior Care. Colette knew that serving seniors in the local community was the perfect solution and she opened her first franchise office located in south Louisville. She opened a second franchise office in New Albany, Ind. in 2003. Having cared for her elderly father before he passed away, Colette knows firsthand the challenges that adult children face with a senior who is aging. It is her goal to share her knowledge and experience and help guide seniors and their families through the process of making the right choices in care options. Colette also believes that by advocating for seniors and supporting the community as a whole, she can help change the face of aging as part of a collective effort. Colette holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville. She serves on the alumni advisory council for the University of Louisville School of Nursing and she is a board member for the school's Volunteer Caregivers Program. In addition, Colette is a member of the Kentuckiana Regional Planning & Development Agency's mental health and aging coalition. She enjoys reading and spending time with family and her two dogs.
