In the Bible, Luke 6:31 teaches us, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. This verse is repeated again in Matthew 7:12. Therefore, we have come to know this as, “The Golden Rule”. This year’s Home Instead Senior Care, CAREGiver of the year is no stranger to that rule. As CAREGivers, we live a life of servitude. We do it without complaint, and we cherish our seniors. In essence, that is what it really means to be a CAREGiver. Judy embodies these values. Over the course of Judy’s career with Home Instead Senior Care, she has managed to capture the hearts of all her clients, other CAREGivers, and the administrative staff. Each client she visits requests that she come back to take care of them more. TO TAKE CARE OF THEM...because she cares so much about those around her.
Even though Judy works an excessive amount of hours each week to ensure that she can spend as much time with her clients as possible, she is and has always been, very gracious to our administrative staff. She is always patient, kind, and understanding. We appreciate her more than she could ever know.
As a CAREGiver in orientation, one of the first things we are taught is what it means to Live Home Instead. Build trust, Take the lead, and share your heart. Judy is a shining example of what that looks like. Naming her CAREGiver of the Year for 2016 is only a small token of the appreciation that she truly deserves.
Judy, Home Instead Senior Care would like to thank you for your many hours of service, the tireless efforts you make to ensure that your clients receive the highest quality of care, and for the compassion and empathy you have for others.
You have certainly lived by “The Golden Rule” and as such, there is no doubt in our minds that when the time comes for your efforts to be repaid, they will be without question.
