Home Care Consultant Job DescriptionShape 

Objective: 

  • The Home Care Consultant is responsible for ensuring achievement of revenue objectives for the assigned territory.  Revenue is to be generated from a variety of Sales and Marketing duties, including researching and pursuing new referral sources and enhancing and maintaining relationships with existing referral sources.  This position is responsible for reporting results to Manager on a weekly basis, discussing successes and opportunities, and demonstrating documented progress and inquiry production in Sales/Marketing/Networking areas. 

 Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Reflect the core values of McClure and Associates, LLC (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise). 

  • Responsible for researching and developing Referral Provider Network relationships and producing referrals; performs all phases of consultative sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate Home Instead® services and additional community resources, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary.   

  • Achieve inquiry generation objectives for assigned territory with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share. Target accounts include, but are not limited to, hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, rehabilitation centers, etc 

  • In conjunction with Home Instead Senior Care franchise leadership, develops sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals. 

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Home Instead Senior Care brand.  Effectively presents Home Instead Senior Care marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.  

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.  

  • Develop a database of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face cold calling on referral providers, email, telephone and Web.  

  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed 

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.  

  • Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers. 

  • Develop a lead nurture program in CRM system to automate lead follow-up 

  • Work with other team members to coordinate various aspects of a client’s care 

         Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities 

  • Perform any and all functions as deemed necessary 

  • Weekly meeting with General Manager to review accountabilities and KPI’s 

  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with general manager, colleagues and CAREGivers 

  Secondary Responsibilities:   

         Conduct client/CAREGiverSM introductions as needed 

  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) visits with clients as needed 

  • Participate in various PR strategies  

  • Complete all Clear Care tasks as assigned by the end of each week 

  • Participate as needed in all office and caregiver meetings 

 Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • College degree required or equivalent work experience 

  • Related business or sales experience (consultative sales a plus) 

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license 

 Knowledge, skills and Abilities:  

              Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by McClure and Associates, LLC (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior                 Care franchise)  

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively 

  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines

The Part Time TCM Coordinator is expected to manage the TCM caseload and make QA phone calls, visits, and yearly assessments to determine the needs of our clients.  Expected days of work would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - but can be discussed at Interview.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Reflect the core values of McClure and Associates Holding Company, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise)
• Answer each call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
• Document and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in operating system
• Conduct monthly TCM phone calls
• Maintain TCM list
• TCM billing to state and all record keeping.
• Conduct QA visits as directed. 
• Recognize opportunities to increase service hours through quality assurance visits
• Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
• Demonstrate open and effective communication with general manager and colleagues, and CAREGivers

Secondary Responsibilities:
• Weekly meeting with GM to review accountabilities and KPI’s
• Attend weekly office meetings and presents relevant information as needed
• Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary


Education/Experience Requirements:
• Soical Worker, LPN, Case Management Exp. with the Elderly
• One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• This position must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by McClure and Associates LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise) 
• This position must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively 
• This position must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines 
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
• Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work.
• Ability to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, the franchise owners, clients, CAREGivers and the community
• Ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
• Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to operate office equipment  
• Must be patient and congenial on the telephone  
• Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel 
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as required
• Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
• Knowledge of the senior care industry
