Roger and his wife, Pam, became our new owners in August, 2010.  He started a career in healthcare soon after college and has spent many years specializing in the area of Dialysis.  Roger's extensive management experience with growing companies is very important as our organization expands to serve the needs of the surging senior population here in the Shenandoah Valley.  An important legacy which he wholeheartedly supports is our commitment to extensive CAREGiver training and Quality Assurance programs including Client satisfaction surveys by J.D. Power and Associates.  He is a member of the Alzheimer's Regional Council, the National Private Duty Association, and also the Chambers of Commerce in Greater Augusta, Lexington/Rockbridge, and Harrisonburg/Rockingham. Roger enjoys life and the love of his family, church, and friends.  He also tries not to get injured too often as he participates in his hobbies of cycling, golf, and hunting!  He and Pam live in Staunton and enjoy the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.​

Pam and Roger Boles made the Shenandoah Valley their home in 2010 when they became owners of Home Instead Senior Care-Verona. Pam fulfills many roles in the office, largely focusing on providing a source of support—to new CAREGivers fulfilling their first assignments, as well as to daily operations within the office. She also teaches the Safe Client/Safe CAREGiver training as well as the CARE Alzheimer's training. Her background in education along with her empathetic skills make her well suited to the tasks! Pam has enjoyed over 35 years of marriage to Roger and together they have three grown sons: Stephen, John, and Ethan (who is currently our General Manager). Roger and Pam have been blessed with five fun grandchildren: Eli, Zoe, Noah, Gabriel and Luke. After enjoying spending time with her children and grandchildren, she also enjoys shopping and soaking in the beautiful views of the Shenandoah Valley.

Donna started as a part time CAREGiver in 2002 and then quickly moved into the office full time. As the HR Manager, she has an important role in interviewing, hiring, and training caring & compassionate people to become CAREGivers.  She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Poultry Science, but she is no chicken when it comes to enforcing our strict policies regarding employee training & performance, drug screening, and criminal background checks. Donna's previous careers include working for Wampler Foods in Harrisonburg as a Field Service Technician (driving to turkey farms to assist growers in raising great market birds), and a short time in the Augusta County Sheriff's Office as a Clerk/Dispatcher. She and her husband, Allen, whom she has known since they were kids, love riding motorcycles. Their busy home includes Donna's mother, her bother, two rescue dogs, Tigger & Paris, and their cat, Buster.

Lois brought her strong interpersonal skills to us in 2005 when she started as an administrative assistant.  Her previous experience as a conference coordinator and job coach also helped hone her organizational talents. In her current human resources role, Lois is responsible for interviews, orientation and trainings. She and her husband reside in Staunton where they enjoy spending time with their daughter, son -in-law and 3 yr. old granddaughter. Lois also enjoys bird watching, walking the dog, and weekend trips.

Jessica started with us in June of 2006.  She is behind the scenes so you rarely get to see that great smile, but, Jessica is the friendly voice that generally answers the phone when the main office is closed.  We serve our Clients 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, and so we ALWAYS answer the phone…there is no recording or answering service!  Jessica and her husband, Rob, live in Stuarts Draft with their children, Easton and Gracie.  They love spending family time together and are also active in their church.  Jessica is a great cook and baker, too!

Sharon joined us as a CAREGiver in 2006 while working another fulltime job. In 2008, she took on another responsibility as our On Call Coordinator every other weekend. She joined us fulltime in the office in 2009 as Client Care Coordinator. She was a Physician Office Manager, Certified Medical Assistant and Certified Medical Manager for 20 years in several doctors' offices in the area. Sharon's caring energies and medical knowledge are happily utilized as she talks to our many new and ongoing Clients to ensure that their needs and expectations are being met! She and her husband, Bill, have two daughters that have graduated college and moved on from their Augusta County home. She is a past president of the Virginia Society of Medical Assistants and past member of the American Association of Medical Assistants where she served as a delegate to several national conventions. She enjoys reading, embroidery, movies, travel and spending time with family.​​

Since joining us in 2002, Doris has served many roles in office support, CAREGiver scheduling and communications, and Client satisfaction.  After spending 30 years working in a military school environment, she is committed to following procedures and ensuring that things are done the RIGHT WAY!  Doris has come to spend more time in the office and to be primarily in the scheduling department.  She enjoys time with her son, Chris, and grandsons, Tristan and Noah.  Doris particularly appreciates the beauty of nature and loves to spend time in the mountains on Skyline Drive or in her gardens. She often escapes to the beach.  Her Waynesboro home is filled with lucky stray cats that have wiggled their way into her loving life.​​

​Terri Register joined the Home Instead team as a staffing coordinator in September 2015. Terri's role is critically important to the company's daily operations as she works closely with our CAREGivers to help ensure assignments are filled accurately and timely. Terri's previous experience working as a customer service representative and scheduler at a warehouse built a strong foundation of team work, working in a fast pace environment, and interpersonal skills that are all critical to the success of her current role. Outside of work, Terri enjoys drawing, camping, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She lives in beautiful Stuarts Draft with her wonderful daughter.

Debbie Martin joined us as a staffing coordinator in the spring of 2011. Since then, she has moved to the Quality Assurance role. Debbie visits our clients to ensure they are recieving the very best care possible. Prior to joining our team, Debbie's outstanding customer service skills were put to great work as the Assistant Sales Director for Holiday Inn Golf and Conference Center in Staunton where she was responsible for scheduling and executing all events and conferences. Debbie lives in Augusta County with her husband, Ronnie, and enjoys spending time with their children and grandchildren, all whom also live in Augusta County. When Debbie is not spending time with family or friends, you will likely find her on a walk, absorbing what she describes as the peaceful and natural beauty that being outside has to offer.

Linda brought her wealth of nursing background and skills to us at the beginning of 2009.  In the early days of her career she worked on a surgical floor at Kings Daughter's Hospital and later on a medical floor at Augusta Medical Center.  During her 33 year tenure at Western State Hospital, she specialized in psychiatric nursing and was also an educator and manager.   Linda is responsible for the Personal Care training for our CAREGivers and all continuing education, evaluations, and annual competencies.  She also visits our Clients to clinically assess their needs and ensure that their care plans are safe, accurate, and up-to-date.  She and her husband, Eddie, enjoy the beautiful mountain views from their Augusta County home. She enjoys spending time at sporting events with her grandson, Ashton, and  time with her dog, Ribon. She enjoys many crafts and is very active at her church. She is also muscially talented and enjoys playing the accordion and autoharp, as well as singing.​

Cleta came to join Home Instead in March of 2008 as one of our CAREGivers. Before she came to us, Cleta worked in the neuro ICU of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She then moved to an ear, nose, and throat office to work with Dr. Murden and Dr. Street. After working as a CAREGiver for 3 years, Cleta moved into her current position as the Part Time Staff Nurse. She assists Linda with all her responsibilities, but primarily visits our current clients to re-asses them to ensure their plan of care stays up to date with their needs. Cleta and her husband, Dennis, enjoy driving their Gold Wing from their home in Waynesboro to several destinations all over the USA. They have a wonderful son named Shad, who is married to “Angel.” When not on her Honda, Cleta loves to be a part of her church, hiking, reading, and being with family and friends.

Chris joined the Home Instead family in 2006 as the nurse manager when we were just beginning to serve families that needed personal care. Up until this point, Home Instead Senior Care only offered home helper services. Chris was brought on to train our current and new CAREGivers to earn their Personal Care Aide certificate. In those early days, Chris was also responsible for training all new CAREGivers, doing all the Personal Care client assessments, and all reassessments. And she was the only nurse on staff at the time. Currently, Chris does the bulk of our training of CAREGivers. She lives in her home in Augusta county with her dog and cat. Chris enjoys music, singing in her church choir, reading, and cross- stitching.

Terri joined the Home Instead family in February 2008 as a CAREGiver and within a few short months was invited to join the office staff as an Administrative Assistant. Although most of her time is spent at the office, she is always willing to fill in for a CAREGiver and welcomes the opportunity to spend time with our clients. Working with and caring for others have always been Terri's passion, building her career in the clinical setting. Prior to joining Home Instead she worked as a clinic aide at Augusta County Schools and as a certified nursing assistant at Sunnyside Retirement Community. Terri and her husband, Berry, have been married for 31 years and live in Mount Sidney. They have one son, Isaac, who attends Liberty University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, reading, camping, and walking.

Assisting, ordering, coordinating, researching, performing, and preparing are just some of the actions that our Administrative Assistant, Marie Rankin-Moyers, performs on a daily basis. Marie joined our staff in February 2013, and has not stopped moving since! Her voice is often the first one you will hear when calling our office, and credit can be given to her for helping the office to run smoothly. Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care, Marie was an assistant manager at the Piece Goods Shop as well as the administrative assistant at John's Computer Service. She and her husband Harrison (better known to family and friends as "Tree") have been married forever and live in Fishersville with their SPCA Pomeranian, "Theo". Marie's favorite hobbies include reading and knitting, and she is trying to learn how to crochet. Something you might not know about Marie is that she likes Jimmy Stewart movies and enjoys 1940's music. We are grateful to have her expertise as well as fun spirit on our team!

Jeannette joined us in the summer of 2013. As the Marketing Director, she works to ensure doctors, hospitals, senior living communities, social workers, civic and church groups, and other community members understand the helpful services we provide for seniors and their families. Her career in the gerontology field has helped us build strong and trusting relationships within our community. She and her husband, Brant, live in Harrisonburg along with their daughter.​​ She enjoys doing anything with her immediate and extended family, loves to shop, and can be found cheering on the JMU Dukes at most football and basketball games.

Steve joined the Home Instead team in December 2016 as a Community Liaison for the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County territory. Steve joins our team with a wealth of experience, most recently serving as Vice President of Marketing Development for Blue Ridge Bank, and before that as the Community Relations Coordinator for DuPont Community Credit Union. Steve lives in Weyers Cave with his wife, Angela H. Landes and their son Roth, along with the family dog, Harrison, and cat, Bear. Steve is also a Member of the Virginia House of Delegates, now entering his 23rd year in representing the 25th District. In his spare time he also enjoys reading, working outside around their family's home, traveling, and anything related to history.

Melissa joins our team as the Community Liaison of our new office in Lexington. Prior to joining HISC, Melissa worked as the Marketing Director for Kendal at Lexington. She previously worked for a senior center in Richmond as well as a vacation rental company on the Outer Banks of NC. She attended James Madison University as an undergraduate and received a master's degree from Virginia Tech in the field of Gerontology. Melissa lives near downtown Lexington with her husband and two young daughters. She is actively involved in the community as a volunteer for the Lexington-Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce, a board member of Main Street Lexington, a volunteer at Waddell Elementary School, and a supporter of Rockbridge Area Hospice. When she's not shuttling kids to dance classes and basketball practices, Melissa loves to be outdoors. Hiking, camping, and canoeing on the Maury River are some of her favorite pastimes

Ethan comes to us from North Carolina to join his parents in their business. He has an extensive background in technology and computers and is the unofficial official IT specialist at the office. As the General Manager, Ethan provides oversight of all daily operations, and is responsible for the monthly billing and payroll processes. He has a lovely wife, Jena, and together they have 3 adorable little boys: Noah, Gabriel, and Luke. They also have a Labordoodle named Daisy. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, running, anything soccer, and working with sound systems.
