Staff Nurse - Home Care

Make a difference in an aging adult's life! We are hiring a part-time Staff Nurse (RN) to join our home care team in our Verona office.

Availability: Wednesday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Home Instead provides non-medical, in-home services to aging adults. Our mission is to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families. Our service areas are Augusta, Rockingham, and Rockbridge counties. Our Staff Nurse works from our Verona office. A company car and gas card are provided for home visits.

Our Staff Nurse:

• Main Duty: Teaches non-medical personal care curriculum to our onboarding caregivers
• Completes initial personal care assessments and develops a written plan of care with the client/family member
• Re-evaluates the client's care needs every 90 days and prepares progress notes on the client's personal care services
• Participates in RN on-call rotation by being available to answer questions from caregivers and clients/families after 5:00 p.m. on weekends and on corresponding weekends

Compensation:

• Starting Wage: $30.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) active in Virginia
• Three years of relevant experience in medical services or clinical environment with knowledge of medical terminology
• Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Speak and write English at a competent level
• Computer skills
• Ability to participate in RN on-call rotation
