Personal care is hands-on help with activities of daily living while encouraging the client to do what they can safely manage themselves.
Depending on the person, a visit may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfer assistance, meal preparation, and other routines. Care Pros are trained to assist rather than simply take over.
The goal is to support safety and dignity while preserving as much independence as possible.
Yes. The office identifies specialized home care for people who use equipment such as Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand devices, and shower benches.
Before providing that support, Care Pros receive training appropriate to the client’s situation. This is part of the office’s approach to more complex home care—preparing the Care Pro for the actual needs of the person rather than assuming a general skill set is enough.
The office describes chronic condition care as something that evolves with the client. It supports people living with Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, COPD, and other long-term conditions with care tailored to symptoms and abilities.
Support may begin with companionship, meals, or occasional personal care and increase over time to include more mobility assistance and help with daily routines.
Transportation may be included in the customized care plan when appropriate.
Current Oakmont service-area information includes communities such as Oakmont, Monroeville, Plum, Penn Hills, Verona, Fox Chapel, Aspinwall, and Highland Park. A Care Pro may provide transportation for approved errands and appointments as part of the care plan.
Yes. The office routinely works with clients whose needs evolve from companionship and supervision to personal care and higher-hour support.
