"I was calling different agencies and talking to whoever was in charge. I just didn't feel comfortable talking to these people even though I'm sure they were well qualified. I didn't feel a connection. But when I talked to people at Home Instead, I felt a real good connection with them. These are the kind of people I would like to have giving me a caregiver because I did have a good rapport with them and I felt comfortable with the person I'm talking to. I liked what I heard that's why I decided to stay with them. Carol is my caregiver. She comes twice a week, Wednesday morning and Saturday afternoon for about three hours each time. She provides me with just standard help mostly housekeeping duties and transportation. She cleans the bathroom and kitchen, mops the floor, vacuums, sometimes picks up medicine to Kaiser clinic and takes me to appointments or shopping. She is wonderful! I love her. She's very helpful, always ask me what things I want done and she'll do whatever. I sometimes do a list and she'll go through the list and do what I put on the list. She's good-natured. We have a good rapport and seems to have many of the same values and interests so I enjoy her come and visit me twice a week. I'm very happy with Home Instead and I'm glad I found them."
