He opened the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills Home Instead Senior Care offices in1997 after caring for his own father for ten years prior. He learned firsthand the challenges, frustrations, joys and successes that only a CAREGiver knows. He is deeply committed to the highest quality care for Sacramento seniors. The local Home Instead Senior Care office has a strong history of involvement in local senior issues and giving back to the Capital City's senior community.

Marie Bennett is the Director of Operations with Home Instead Senior Care. She joined the team in 2008 after 12 years in the biotech industry. When she had the opportunity to work with HISC she was excited to pursue a career in a new field where she could apply her experience in such a rewarding environment.  She brought with her a passion for customer service and the skills needed to adapt to a growing organization.  Skills which have been instrumental in the growth of this company.  She is committed to providing the highest level of quality care to the seniors throughout our local communities. She works closely with both the Scheduling and Client Care teams to ensure the seniors we serve have the best possible care.

Symphony Krueger - Director of Recruitment and Engagement

Symphony Krueger is the Director of Recruitment and Engagement. She joined the Home Instead family in 2010 and instantly felt a connection to the mission and culture of the company. Her team is responsible for hiring, screening, training and providing ongoing support to CAREGivers. She takes pride in recruiting and hiring the best CAREGivers to serve our seniors. Her compassion and direction are an invaluable resource for the team she leads and the CAREGivers she supports.

Prior to finding her way to Home Instead, she spent 15 years working with children. This taught her patience and understanding and gave her a passion for serving others. She now uses these skills to inspire others to find a passion for serving seniors. While she is the director of the department, she is never too busy to personally address a CAREGiver's concerns.

Jenn Silagi - Client Care Coordinator

Jenn Silagi - Client Care Coordinator

Jenn is one of our Client Care Coordinators at Home Instead Senior Care. She visits our clients regularly to ensure satisfaction with their care. Before coming to Home Instead, she worked as a staffing coordinator at a pediatric nursing agency. After watching her father struggle with the stress of taking care of his aging parents, she decided that she wanted to work with Seniors and their families to enable them to be able to enjoy each other and make the most of the final years. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with her family, and volunteering with Girl Scouts.

Jill Painter - Scheduling Coordinator

​Jill Painter is one of the staffing mangers and has been with Home Instead Senior Care since September 2011. Jill works on matching the CAREGivers with the right client and getting them their desired amount of hours.  She started out doing on-call work, working the front desk and working on payroll before moving into the staffing department. Prior to working with Home Instead Senior Care, she worked for another home care agency for 12 years doing consultations, check-in visits with clients and hiring CAREGivers. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Public Relations from Sacramento State.  She enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and spending time with her family – husband Jason, daughter Katelyn and son Matthew.

Chrissy joined the  Home Instead team in the summer of 2018.  Her role within the team is to educate the community about Home Instead, and all the services our company provides. She is passionate about helping seniors safely stay in their homes.  In her spare time, Chrissy spends time with her family and animals. She enjoys boating,  camping, and watching her kids sports.

Teri Lopez - Intake Specialist

Teri Lopez - Intake Specialist

Teri is our Intake Specialist and part of the Care Management Team. She began her home care career in 2004 working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through her own life experiences and her connection with families within our senior community, Teri is empathetic to the challenges faced in caring for your loved ones. With many resources at hand, she can provide the support needed to keep seniors engaged, safe and independent in their homes! One of her favorite quotes is “Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art.” In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, home improvement projects, antiques shopping and playtime with her dog Ollie.

Leta Roesch is a Trainer/Mentor at Home Instead Senior Care. Leta has always been a caregiver, helping family when Loved Ones needed help. She came to Home Instead in 2006 after identifying with Home Insteads’ Mission and Values and has never looked back. After 7 ½ years of caring for clients in their home, Leta was offered a position in the office as a trainer. She thrives on being the best she can be to her caregivers, so in turn her caregivers give their clients the best quality of comfort, care, joy and enriches their hearts. April Smith - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

April Smith - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

​April is a Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator with Home Instead Senior Care. She has over 15 years of experience as a caregiver. She has been a CNA and a Medication Tech and has worked in numerous care giving positions. Her relationship with Home Instead began in 2011 when she was hired on as a CAREGiver. During that time she led with her heart and showed great compassion for her clients.

In 2016 she received a BA from UC Davis. It seemed like time to take the next steps in her life journey, but she was hesitant to leave Home Instead. She believed in their values and she knew she was part of a company that was more like a family. When she was offered a position in the office she did not hesitate to accept. Now she is responsible for hiring the ideal people to care for our seniors. Her own experience has taught her how to identify kind, compassionate, experienced caregivers, and she hires only people she would allow to care for her own loved ones.

Mark Candalla - Scheduling Coordinator

Mark has been a scheduling coordinator for Home Instead since 2010, he started in the San Jose Home Instead Office and transferred to the Rancho Cordova Home Instead Office in October 2017. Mark matches CAREGivers with appropriate Clients and works on obtaining CAREGivers their desired number of hours.

Amy Vaughan Chapman - Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator

​Amy Vaughan Chapman is a Recruitment Engagement Coordinator at Home Instead Senior Care. Previously she worked as a CAREGiver for Home Instead in Pittsburgh PA. When she moved to Sacramento she knew she still wanted to be a part of the Home Instead family. She was hired on as a CAREGiver and worked for about a year in that position. Her positive attitude and the compassion she showed for her clients made Amy a rising star in the company. She was offered a position in the office and is now responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of all CAREGivers. She checks in to see that they are happy and that they feel supported. She strives to set each CAREGiver up for success so that they can provide the best care possible to our seniors.

Lauren Hartley - Office Coordinator

Lauren started with Home Instead Senior Care in May 2017 as a CAREGiver. She was inspired to join the Home Instead Senior Care team because of her close relationship with her grandmother. She became a Lead CAREGiver in February 2018 and has since moved through multiple positions since being promoted into the office in May 2018. She is currently the Office Coordinator in Rancho Cordova. She looks forward to many more years with her Home Instead family.

Caitlin began working with Home Instead as a caregiver in September of 2015, and moved into the office in December of 2015. She is pursuing her master of social work degree at Sac State and is anticipating graduating in 2019. She enjoys getting to know the caregivers, clients and family members in her interactions she gets to have with them every day.

Jamie Carmichael - On-Call Coordinator

Jamie started working for Home Instead in April 2016 as a CAREgiver.  In August of 2018 she was offered  a position as an On Call Coordinator, which she happily accepted. Jamie takes all immediate calls, service inquiries and urgent matters after the office in Rancho Cordova closes! Jamie enjoys working with the senior community and all our awesome CAREgivers after hours.
