Eric & Angela Thomas, Owners

Eric and Angela have spent more than 25 years serving the elderly in different capacities. Eric was President & CEO of large, faith-based retirement communities for over 22 years. These retirement communities had Assisted and Independent living apartments and townhomes, Memory care households, Skilled Nursing Care, Short-Term rehabilitation facilities, Adult Day Care and much more. Angela has served as the Development Director and Independent Living Director. As Development Director she raised money for capital campaigns, annual campaigns, annual benefit dinners and many other fundraising events. The best thing about home care though is the one-on-one aspect of caring for our clients. We know our quality of care is high and the client's quality of life is best when we take care of people individually.

Eric and Angela have 5 kids and 2 dogs, which is what they spend most of their time on when away from work!

Emily Wilson, Home Care Consultant

I began at Home instead in June 2017 as a Quality Assurance Coordinator after receiving a B.S. in Health and Human Science at Bridgewater College. I enjoy sitting down with members of the community and families to see how they can use Home Instead as a partner in changing the face of aging. As a Home Care Consultant I do exactly that. I am responsible for representing Home Instead, controlling our social media presence, and building relationships with the communities around us! It's personal to me because my grandparents and parents are aging right here as well so my goal is to be a resource to make the transition of aging easier for everyone. I'm easy to find in the community, so feel free to pull me aside and say hi!

April

April Merritt, Client Care Coordinator

April was a Caregiver with Home Instead for four years before taking the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator in the Mishawaka office in 2017. April enjoys spending time with our clients, getting to know them, and giving them the best quality of life possible. Throughout the day, April does Quality Assurance visits with the clients to ensure they do not have a change in condition, updates, or concerns of any kind. She believes being a part of and engaging our clients will make a lasting impression and lives by our motto, "To us, it's personal."

angel

Angel Davidsen, Client Care Coordinator

Angel came to Home Instead as a caregiver for a second full time job while still working at a factory full time. She has had many cherished moments and carries a lot of memories. Angel often visited with her grandparents and treasures those memories.  She volunteered at nursing homes and sang for the residents, spent time talking with them and even brought her kids to visit. When her grandma was 90, Angel became her Caregiver to keep her home until her passing at age 95. She has three daughters all in the healthcare field and two sons, one in the factories and the other who just finished high school. She loves working with her clients and their families and treats them like her own.

crocin

Crocin Ledda, Client Care Coordinator

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines, having obtained my degree in Master of Arts in Nursing Majoring in Adult Health in 2012. I initially came to the US as a caregiver with Home Instead in October 2022. After passing the NCLEX exam in July 2023, I transitioned into a role as our VA Care Coordinator. Since then, I have been dedicated to ensuring that the Veterans we care for receive the highest quality of care possible. Working closely with veterans is not just an honor but also an opportunity to give back to these heroes for their service to the country. Home Instead, as the preferred company for delivering home care to veterans, has enabled us to make them feel appreciated and well cared for. I am immensely grateful to my employers for giving me the chance to be part of this ever-growing, competitive company that delivers personalized care to our most valued clients.

Kari Thomas, Human Resources Manager

I began at Home Instead in April 2018 as the on-call coordinator and relocated to Indiana in August 2018 to take on my new role as the Scheduling Manager for 5 years. In May 2023, I moved into my new role of Human Resources Manager.  I've worked in the healthcare field since I was 16 years old- first as a hospital volunteer, then a DSP/patient care tech and then completed my Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 2011. I've worked in many different specialties and feel my experience helps me provide exceptional service to both our Care Professionals and our Clients. My Husband, Nick, and I have 4 beautiful daughters who keep us quite busy! Our oldest is in college at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix majoring in Nursing, one heading to college in the Fall, a Sophomore who's an avid travel hockey player (among other things) and our youngest, a 3rd grader who keeps us young!

Shortly after starting as a Caregiver, Sandi began doing the Caregiver training for the new Care Professionals. She moved into the office doing Quality Assurance, and later moved into the HR Manager position.  Her hobbies are football, making and collecting jewelry, and her two German Shepherds and two cats!  She loves working with the Care Professionals to try to make the difficult jobs they do, better any way she can.

When she and her family relocated to Florida she took on the after hours role to help us all out but we're so thankful to have her back!

saloma

Saloma Kesler, Service Coordinator

I started working at Home Instead because I was looking for an opportunity to serve elderly people in my community. I love meeting people, hearing their stories the opportunity to spread joy. I enjoyed my time as a caregiver getting to interact with clients one on one and providing personalized care and connection, and now relish the opportunity to help our clients in a broader capacity as a client coordinator. When not at work you can catch me, enjoying time outdoors, swimming, biking, rollerblading and skiing and spending time with family and friends. A huge highlight of my job is getting to talk to our incredibly diverse and skilled team of caregivers and of course our wonderful clients. I am thankful to be part of an Epic Team.
