Meet Our Home Care Team
Roy Wu
Co-Owner
Roy was born in Maryland and grew up in the Washington, DC area. He received his undergraduate degree in Communications and his Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. Roy's career includes working in various sectors – Philanthropy, Education, and Health Care – all he feels has prepared him for owning and running a Home Instead franchise. Roy and Paula enjoy spending time with their kids and are active in their church. His all-time favorite movie is Rudy.
Paula Wu
Co-Owner
Paula attended undergraduate school in a city they now service through their Home Instead office—Walla Walla, Washington. She moved to Loma Linda, California, finished her Master of Physical Therapy degree and began her career as a Physical Therapist in the acute rehabilitation unit of the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fontana, California. While she didn't know it at the time, Paula was gaining invaluable insights into the need for the continuation of quality care once her patients returned to their homes. This outside perspective of the very real and personal inner needs of those seeking the kind of care Home Instead provides is just one of the ways in which Paula brings a superior level of homecare to seniors.
Nickie
Regional Manager
Nickie started with Home Instead in October of 2018 as an HR Assistant. She helps manage the hiring process for new Care Pro applicants, including background and reference checks, interviews, and training. She also enjoys helping to select well-rounded, high quality Care Pros for our clients. Outside of work Nickie enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, gardening, and tending her chickens.
Chelsea
Assistant Manager, Operations
Chelsea started with Home Instead in February of 2020 as a Service Coordinator and Weekend On-Call. She works to maintain the schedule and make sure that clients and caregivers needs are being met. When she is not working in scheduling she can be found helping at the front desk. Chelsea loves problem solving and being a listening ear to anyone who needs someone to listen. She believes that everyone has a story to tell. Outside of the office, she spends her time crafting and spending time with her husband and extended family.
Kaitlyn
Client Care Advisor
Kaitlyn has been a dedicated caregiver in the community for several years. Through her experience, she has gained a deep understanding of both the practical and emotional aspects of client care. Kaitlyn ensures her clients receive the care they deserve by listening to and advocating for them. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and three children and attending their extracurricular activities.
Stormi
Recruitment Coordinator
Stormi started with Home Instead in October 2021 as a Care Pro. She gained a great amount of knowledge and experience in Dementia as well as the needs of Hospice clients. She has always had a passion of caring for others and loves connecting with people. Outside of the office Stormi enjoys being a mother, taking care of her plants, reading, and playing Disc golf.
Ashley
Scheduling & On-Call Coordinator
Ashley joined Home Instead in December 2023 and works in our front office to welcome guests and is the friendly voice you speak to when you call in. Ashley has been a caregiver since February 2021, with extensive experience in memory care facilities assisting those with dementia. She plans to advance her healthcare career by studying to become a nurse. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and their four dogs and reading.
Melissa
Front Office Coordinator
Melissa started with Home Instead in February 2024 as a Care Pro. She has always had a very compassionate and empathetic heart for helping others, learning through the care of her child with special needs. Melissa believes no one deserves to go without care and believes that the work we do at Home Instead is vital. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and occasionally playing video games with her mom.
