About Us

Meet Our Team

 Sandi Martin, Owner

Sandi Martin, Owner

Sandi Martin is the Franchise Owner of Home Instead in the counties of Greenville, Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union in South Carolina. She has a heartfelt desire to work with seniors and their families in our community. She has seen firsthand the difficulties of caring for aging family members who live away from her family geographically. She is a board member for Alzheimer's Walk of Spartanburg and also at the Shepard's Center.

Home Instead Senior Care has made it their mission and to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families across the globe. Sandi is making it her mission to continue to do just that in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties. "We want to provide quality, trustworthy, affordable non-medical companionship and in-home care services to our seniors which will allow them to remain living independently in their own homes." Sandi continues "Our staff is an outstanding team of compassionate CAREGivers and office personnel. Together, Home Instead Senior Care will continue to be responsive, courteous, and focused on meeting your needs. We pledge to work tirelessly to maintain the reputation of trust that this office has worked so diligently to develop in our community."

Sandi has been married to her husband, E.P. for 25 years. They are raising three beautiful children; Audrey, Porter and Mackenzie. "We have called Spartanburg our home for the past 19 years. We are very active in the community, with sports schools and church. It has been my aspiration and true reward that has led me down the path of ownership of this Home Instead Senior Care Team. I consider myself blessed with the opportunity to give back in a very unique and rewarding way."


Terrie Shadburn, RN-BSN, Registered Nurse

Terrie joined our team in 2020. She is originally from Lebanon, Ohio but relocated to Spartanburg, SC as a young child. She currently resides in Spartanburg, SC with her two Yorkies, Lattigo and Bella. She has two grown children. Daughter Mackenzie and son Austin. She has one Granddaughter, Ema, and three grandsons, Paxton, Macon, and Mabrie, that she loves to spend time with.

Terrie graduated with a Bachelors Science Nursing degree. She has been a Registered Nurse for 28 years. Her specialties include Emergency Dept, Home Health Care, Hospice, and Education.

Terrie loves the wholistic approach to personal care that can be delivered privately in the comfort of their home. She has spent most of her career in the homes of her clients and looks forward to continuing the work with our Seniors to ensure they have improved quality of life to include a longer, fuller, and safer life.


Audrey Martin, Director of Community Relations

Audrey Martin joined our team in 2020. She is originally from Springboro, Ohio but relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina in 2002. She currently resides in Spartanburg. Audrey graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Travel and Tourism.

After working in the wedding and event planning field for 2 years, Audrey realized her passion and dedication to the senior community. She decided it was time for a career change. Audrey’s commitment to helping others made for the seamless transition to Home Instead.

In her spare time, Audrey enjoys traveling and being with family and friends.


Katherine Smith, Human Resources Manager

Katherine is from Boiling Springs, SC where she still resides with her husband and two sons. She is certified as a Health Unit Coordinator, as well as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. Katherine has numerous years in the healthcare industries in both assisted living facilities and at Spartanburg Regional HealthCare System. She has always loved caring for our community's seniors. After working in Human Relations and payroll, she decided that she wanted to be more hands-on and work on a personal level with elderly clients. She came to Home Instead as the Service Care Coordinator in 2016, and worked diligently on making the perfect client/caregiver match. She's since progressed into the role of Human Resources Manager.


Amber Hughes, Office Coordinator

Amber joined our team as a CAREGiver in July of 2017. She has been a CNA for 7 years and has always had a passion for helping others. She brought such a youthful and inspiring attitude to her clients that we knew we needed that in our office. Later in 2017, she joined our office staff and has been committed to our CAREGivers and our clients. Her talent and respect for other CAREGivers has made her an excellent addition to our office. She currently lives in Roebuck, SC with her husband and 3 daughters. She works endlessly to keep our company running smoothly 24/7.

Victoria Fardie, Training & Engagement Coordinator

Victoria joined our team as a caregiver in 2018 and became an office staff member in 2021. Before being a caregiver, she was a Director of Activities at a resort in St. Thomas, where she worked for 20 years. Victoria works hard to train our caregivers and set them up for the best possible success. In Victoria's free time she loves to do arts and crafts.

Caroline W

Caroline Wilder, Service Coordinator

Caroline Wilder started her career with Home Instead as a Caregiver in 2017. She has just recently moved into the office as the new Service Coordinator. Caroline is currently enrolled in Nursing School at Spartanburg Community College and plans to transfer to Upstate for her BSN after graduation. She is a mother of three children and loves every minute of it. In her free time she likes to be outside taking care of all her plants or going on walks with her dog. Family is a priority to Caroline and her promise is to do her best to help take care of yours.

Shanika Tucker, Caregiver Administrative Assistant

Before joining our team, Shanika had countless medical experiences. Between working at hospitals, with hospice and doing CNA work, she has seen it all. Shanika has been a CNA since 2010 and her biggest priority is to find the most hardworking and loving caregivers to join our team. She is from Union, SC and has three children (Malak, Shariah and Israel). In her free time, she loves to decorate houses and spend time with friends. 


Judy Craig, Office Administrator

​Judy joined our team as a CAREGiver in 2014. She has a bachelor's degree in Business and after a 38 year career in textiles, she retired and cared for her mother who had heart problems. She has a true respect for all CAREGiver's and after the passing of her mother, she decided to join our team to continue being a CAREGiver. She lives in Duncan where she is surrounded by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She has a true passion caring for seniors and served in that respect until 2017 when she unexpectedly had a heart attack and open-heart surgery. After her recovery she joined our office staff where she still interacts with both clients and CAREGivers. Around the office she is known as "Miss Judy."
