Our June 2022 Brian Geenty Caring Star is... Susan Monroe!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE! Our Caring Star Award Winner for June is Susan Monroe! Not only are we celebrating her 3 Year Anniversary with Home Instead, but we are celebrating so many of her "Caring Accomplishments"!
Susan is a very busy person, between family, selling real estate and caring for seniors, she has little spare time! Somehow, Susan has found the time, and has played a pivotal role in our support during some challenging COVID and Care Professional shortages. Yes, she is busy; but she is never too busy to find wonderful ways to support her seniors! Like many of our long-term Care Professionals, Susan has experienced the loss of a few clients. Even when clients (sadly) have passed or have moved, her support to the family and "staying in touch" is what makes "To us, it's personal" the chemistry to our care.
As the owner, I recall a wonderful lady we provided care for in Hagerstown. I visited her often and she lived in a cottage in the community. She was constantly having issues with water leaking out of her shower. One day, Ms. Dick's told me the guys from maintenance never fixed it, but Susan did! She was delighted in the solution and how happy it made her to not have water on her floor after showering. For Home Instead, these are the little things that make a big difference! As we continue to strive to find new solutions for care for our seniors, actions of kindness are our greatest gift! Thank you, Susan, for being YOU! And congratulations on 3 Years with Home Instead! We could never do it without you!
