Our Caring Star for the month of May is.... Rachael Goodman!
Rachael will be celebrating her fourth year with Home Instead in early July and truly represents our motto of "To Us, It's Personal". Through these years wherever she has gone, she has exceeded the expectations of both our clients and family members. Racheal is unique in many ways, but it is her ability to address the needs of her clients and then find important ways to help them thrive in their homes that sets her apart.
In recent years Rachael has assisted two families with very challenging needs. In one case, she was caring for a couple whose needs were increasing as their health was declining. Sadly, the couple did pass in their home, but in talking to their daughter, she was certain that their quality of life was extended by Rachael's exceptional care. In the other case, she has a client on dialysis with very complex needs. Rachael has not only built trust through her care, but she has also found new ways to extend his quality of life through nutritional meal preparation. In talking to this client's daughter, she said, "The family had concerns when Dad's favorite care provider moved on, but Rachael quickly won him over through her care and cooking".
Acts of kindness occur every day, but it is Rachael's never-ending commitment to serve and improve that proudly allows us to recognize her at this time.
