Vincent Altruda, Executive Director & Owner

Vincent Altruda, Executive Director & Owner

Vin Altruda purchased the South Grand Rapids franchise of Home Instead in January 2018.  Vin brings a wealth of management and team building experience with him.  Previously, he was the CEO of Espresso Royale in Ann Arbor and has held various senior management positions, including the title of Worldwide President at Borders Books & Music.  Vin has carefully curated the 622 Home Instead Family, Foundations, and Values because he is passionate about caring for others and doing the best he can for our community.  He feels that his work at Home Instead honors his late parents and their choice to remain home during their final years.

Vin is the proud father of five children.  He enjoys being with his family, raising his two teenage boys, spending time outside, and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines and New York Yankees

Amber Kinnell, Communication & Education Manager

Amber Kinnell, General Manager

Amber Kinnell joined our 622 Home Instead family in 2018. She has gained experience in many roles within our franchise including being a CAREGiver, Service Coordinator, and Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator, as well being a part of marketing and managing the social media. Her background includes over 15 years of hospitality, customer service, and management experience. As the General Manager, Amber is responsible to connect all the moving parts of the other positions within our franchise to work together most efficiently. Her favorite parts of management include supporting, educating, and engaging with CAREGivers, clients, and the local community on a regular basis. She loves when others are in a position that utilizes personal strengths!

In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, her dog, cats, and her bunny. She loves designing and creating things, especially if she can be thrifty or use secondhand items.

Joyce VanDinther, Client Care Coordinator

Joyce VanDinther, Client Care Coordinator

Joyce VanDinther joined our 622 Home Instead Family in August 2012. Joyce accepted her position of Client Care Coordinator. She is responsible for assessing, accepting, and managing each Client’s care once they have decided that Home Instead is best for their individual needs! Joyce worked as a CAREGiver before becoming the Client Care Coordinator where she currently excels. Her favorite part of client care is working with the wide variety of clients and their families to create an individualized care plan for each client, allowing the client to stay in their own home while optimizing the quality of life no matter the stage of life they are in. Joyce worked formerly as a nurse in home care, as well as a volunteer at Raybrook Manor. She graduated Calvin College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Joyce is the proud mom of three children and enjoys spending as much time with them and her husband that she can! She loves being outside, especially for running, and tries to run one marathon per month.

Lynde 2

Lynde Bushre, Service Coordinator

Lynde Bushre joined our 622 Home Instead Family in May 2021 as our Office Coordinator. She was promoted to Service Coordinator in July 2021. She was looking for an opportunity to grow with a company and found what she was looking for! Growing up, her grandma ran an adult foster home. Lynde would visit her grandma and the elderly adults who lived there. She grew close with many of them- taking time to walk with them, listening to their stores, and playing card games that they enjoyed! When she was 18, she worked in a Masonic home in the kitchen and enjoyed every minute of it. She enjoyed the camaraderie with the elderly and the other employees, especially getting to know all of them and hearing their stories about their lives. Her passion for connecting with aging adults makes her a natural for her position at Home Instead. She’ll be the first smiling face you see when you visit the office.

Outside of work, Lynde enjoys time with her husband, kids, and dogs.
