Leighton Mikell, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator since 2022

Leighton is a native of Collins, Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi, while caring for her grandfather during her off time.

Once completing her degree, Leighton moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where her husband was stationed in the U.S. Army. Once moving back to Mississippi, Leighton knew she wanted to work with a company that prioritized the needs of others.

Leighton serves as the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator. She is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training the Home Instead Care Professional workforce. Leighton has personal experience being a caregiver, so she knows the qualities and demands required by in-home caregivers, as well as the life-long effects caregivers have on seniors.
Leighton lives with her husband, Calder, and their one-year-old son, Shepherd. They also have two German Shepherds, Dusty and Diesel. As a family, they enjoy most of their time being outdoors and making memories!

Among the more distinguished places he worked were “The Daisey”, a restaurant and private club in Beverly Hills, and “LaScala”, a famous restaurant in Malibu, which was a popular celebrity haunt, at which he began to plan events for celebrities and various business groups.

In the early nineties he moved back to Hattiesburg, with his family, including son Danny, where he re-established himself in both the business and entertainment industry.  He has been in management, marketing, and entertainment ever since.  Rob is very excited to serve as a community liaison with Home Instead where he hopes to make a positive impact in the community that he loves.

By providing quality assurance visits, ensuring our Care Pros have everything they need to be successful in each client's home, and discussing care needs with family members, Tonya will be working hard to make sure senior clients are well taken care of.

Tonya was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and moved to Hattiesburg at only 21 years old. She fell in love with the Hattiesburg area and has made it her home. Tonya is the mother of one daughter and has three grandchildren.

As a former teacher with a background in healthcare and a college minor in Human Services, she is very happy to assume the Client Care role and serve our seniors in the community that she has come to call home.

Bob and Anna Edenfield - Franchise Owners Since 2009

Bob and Anna Edenfield, Franchise Owners Since 2009

Being part of Home Instead is a very personal experience to both Anna and Bob. With their experience helping Anna’s family care for her parents and now caring for Bob’s 90 year old mother, they understood when the opportunity arose to make this personal experience a new life’s mission. They both feel one of the most gratifying parts of Home Instead is the daily fulfillment; knowing that the Caregivers and dedicated staff strive to make such a positive impact on senior’s lives every day. They believe the Home Instead daily mission is to keep seniors in their homes safely and comfortably; adding to their quality of life, while preserving their dignity and independence.

Bob and Anna have been married for 20 years. They moved to the Hattiesburg community about four years ago and genuinely enjoy living here and growing into part of the community. Bob was once overheard to say, “the two nicest groups of people I have ever met are the native Hawaiians and the folks in the Hattiesburg area”

Both Anna and Bob are involved in the business, where Bob oversees daily operations while Anna is actively involved with community projects like our Be A Santa to A Senior, a community wide effort on behalf of less fortunate Seniors during the Christmas season.

Bob’s background before Home Instead has been in engineering applications and technical sales. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with continuing education at University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. Anna graduated with a degree in Psychology from Southern Louisiana University. She has worked as a case manager in social work for four years before coming to Home Instead. Both feel their work careers and life experience, their love of seniors combine helped them understand they are in the right place and the right time to help make a difference in senior’s lives and our community.
