Care Professional of the Month for August 2025- Barbara S.
From the early age of ten, caregiving has been more than just a job…it has been a calling. Barbara recalls helping care for her beloved grandmother, Queen, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. That early experience sparked a lifelong dedication to serving others with compassion and love.
“What keeps me going, even on the toughest days, is knowing that my clients are depending on me to show up,” she shares. “I don’t like letting them down.”
At Home Instead, she has found the perfect place to do what she loves most: providing meaningful, personalized care right in the comfort of her clients’ homes. “I enjoy being a Home Instead Care Professional because I get to really connect with my clients one-on-one. I learn so much about them, and it is always rewarding when they remember little things about me and are excited to see me.”
