Weekend Caregiver

Home Instead is actively hiring for weekend caregiver positions in the Central Houston, TX area, including West University, Bellaire, The Heights, Medical Center, River Oaks, Mid-town, Museum District, Montrose. We have a variety of shifts available including days, evenings and overnights. No certifications required, although CNAs and HHA’s strongly encouraged to apply.

Our Caregivers provide one-on-one care to seniors, allowing them to stay in the home they love. From companionship and home helper services to assistance with personal care and Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care, Home Instead provides you with the training to ensure you have the skills needed to care for your clients. With office support available 24 hours a day, you are never alone; we are always here to help.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Ambulation and transfer assistance
  • Alzheimer’s & dementia care and support
  • Incidental transportation and errands

Requirements to be a Caregiver:

  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
  • Must have reliable transportation
