About Us

Meet Our Team

William Rice, Owner and President

William Rice, Owner and President

William Rice is the owner and on-site operator of our franchise office.  He became part of the Home Instead team in January, 2004.  Educated and trained as an Engineer, he held many positions in many businesses, including those he owned himself.  His work took him, and often his family, all around the world.  Bill and his wife, Bonnie, are the parents of 6 grown children and grandparents to 14 grandchildren ranging in age from 10-35.  He enjoys being on the water and especially enjoys deep-sea fishing.  His bucket list includes a cruise around the world!

 Pamela Eelman, General Manager

Pamela Eelman, General Manager

Pamela Eelman is the General Manager of the Plumsteadville office.  She's held several positions in the Company since arriving in 2009.  She's proud and often boasts that the hard work, dedication and compassion of our office and caregiver team have gained us the reputation as the premier care-giving agency in the area!  While she's held several titles, the one she loves most is "Grandmom" to her 18 month old grandson, Luka!  Pam lives in Plumsteadville with her partner, 6 chickens and about 50,000 honey bees, (although buzzing, stinging bees can be hard to count).  She's also Bruce Springsteen's number one fan, being a true "Joisy Girl"!

Jamie Brown, Training

Jamie Brown, Training

Jamie Brown is our Trainer and the voice you hear on the phone after business hours.  She has worked in various capacities of nursing for over 45 years.  She enjoys the challenges of her role and feels that with the right education, skill sets and techniques, she can "turn anyone who is willing into a top-notch caregiver"!  While Covid has delayed our plans, this autumn we intended to open our new training center to the public, offering education on various aspects of aging.  Jamie will be a large part of that.  Jamie enjoys being near the water, be it the ocean or the Delaware River.  She lives in Ottsville and is happy being so geographically close to her two granddaughters.

Gail Hall, Scheduler

Gail Hall, Quality Assurance Supervisor

Gail Hall is our Quality Assurance Supervisor.  She has always had a "passion for seniors" and has provided care to them in various capacities her whole life. She is the office expert on dementia care.  In addition to opening all new cases, she ensures that care plans are followed and updated if necessary and that clients are satisfied with the services provided.  Gail is the link between clients/families and caregivers and the link between each client/family member with the Administrative team.  Her daily meditation practice keeps her grounded and able to handle everyone out in the field.  She enjoys cooking and her chicken parm is the dish the family requests most.  Gail is impatiently waiting for everyone to be vaccinated against Covid and the world to get back to normal so she can catch up on hugs and kisses with her three year old granddaughter.

Team Member - Jeannine

Jeannine Pontoski - Scheduler

Jeannine Pontoski brings years of various experience to her position as Scheduler.  While she worked in home care through another agency, she also knows business from inside out, having owned and operated various businesses.  Caring for others is her passion.  In line with her Danish roots, Jeannine practices hygee, a way of life that focuses on simple pleasures, living consciously and finding the joy in each moment.  She is the mother of three grown children and enjoys reading, writing and photography.  Making successful client/caregiver matches is one of the rewards of the Scheduler.  She works to really get to know clients and their families and all the caregivers in order to make the right connection.  She knows that while skill set is important, relationship is essential for home care work!
Candace Price, Administrative Assistant

Candace Price, Administrative Assistant

Candace Price is our Administrative Assistant.  Up until the summer of 2020 she and her husband had attended every Musik Fest since its inception.  The pandemic broke the yearly tradition, but they're hoping that 2021 will be twice as good to make up for last year.  Candy married her high school sweetheart in 1974 and music has always been part of their relationship.  They met while singing in a folk choir through church.  Candy, who considers herself a Dead Head, lives with her husband on a farm in Kintnersville.  They enjoy all that nature provides and welcome the birds and all woodland creatures that pass through their yard each day!  Candy is known for her sweet tooth and lives up to her name.

Don Welby 4

Don Welby, Accounting Manager

Don Welby is our Accounting Manager.  Nobody who knows him would be surprised that he did stand up comedy years ago.  He was also a D.J. in night clubs and will still play the occasional gig for family and friends.  Don't even attempt to go against him in music trivia!  Don Started his Home Instead career as a caregiver.  He's always had affection and respect for elders starting way back with his relationship with his great-grandmother.  Coming into the office in an administrative position allowed him to serve more than one client at a time and make a bigger impact on the seniors in our community.  In his spare time he enjoys fishing with his dad.  He is married and credits his wife for making him the man he is today.  They live in Souderton.
