2021 Care Professional of the Year: Celia

2021 CGoY - Celia

Celia was a valuable Care Pro for five years before Rich bought the franchise. Her leadership over the last few years has meant that anytime we have had a really difficult client situation, struggling hospice case or new client where the office wants a better understanding of the needs, we trust that we can send Celia. Her dependability, experience, communication skills and even keel deliver value to clients, families and the office.

Celia had a client that was in hospice who needed to be changed and dressed in the bed. Celia undertook to train all five or six of the Care Pros who came through the assignment how to properly change the client with what turned out to be the best practice. One of these CAREGivers that Celia trained is now a Key Player in the office overseeing all training and QA. Celia taught her the best way to move a client in the bed while changing her and dressing her - keeping the client as comfortable as possible.

Celia set up the task list, oversaw the execution, set up doctors’ appointments and made sure that client went. She was an available resource for the office and the other Care Pros regarding the client’s condition. Her leadership enabled the office to keep this client for an extended period of evolving and increasing needs until she passed away.
