Our Social Purpose

Our social purpose starts in Seattle, WA but it carries on across the world.

The Home Instead network works to create a world where people own their aging journeys. We want all generations to age on their own terms, authentic to who they are as unique individuals, and connected to things that provide them with purpose.

This vision drives us to expand the world’s capacity to care.

Giving Back

Home Instead helps older adults age with greater hope and success whether they're our clients or not. Because we believe everyone deserves to age with grace and dignity, we strive to make that vision a reality by creating a world that's ready to care for each other.

From our involvement with the Walk to End Alzheimer's or our holiday give-back program, Be a Santa to a Senior, Home Instead is out to make a difference.

Home Instead Seattle is a proud sponsor of The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild.

The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild is a 501(c)(3) community of builders, designers, suppliers, homeowners, and partners concerned with ecological building in the Pacific Northwest. The Guild empowers people through education to transform the built environment for long term sustainability.

As the owner of Home Instead, giving back comes naturally. My team and I give back daily as we work with our community. But long term, the biggest impact we can make is in our efforts to give back to our environment. This is how we give back to future generations. Any opportunity we have to decrease our footprint as we move about in our daily work must be done. At Home Instead, we now utilize electric vehicles, public transportation, bikes, and telecommuting has been an option for years for management staff.

This year we rolled out virtual options in the home to enhance our hands on care. Each client has a tablet (developed for the elderly) that allows the caregiver and client to have virtual checks with staff and with their families as a way to safely stay connected. We look forward to learning from you, as we support a green future. - Kristi Larson
