Meet Our Home Care Team

Carol Hitchcock, Owner

Proudly serving Mahoning and Trumbull Counties for over 22 years, Carol is passionate about enhancing the lives of aging adults in her community!

She founded the Austintown Home Instead Office on May 1, 2001.

As an entrepreneur, senior advocate, and humanitarian, Carol was inducted in 2017 to the Boardman High School Distinguished Alumni.

What inspired Carol to be a Home Instead Franchise owner starts with a story about an elderly man. One day she was driving down the street and an elderly man ran in front of her car saying, “help me, help me.” He then knocked on her window and said he was 95 years old, and he was going out to buy a lottery ticket, and he got lost.

Carol figured out where he lived, took him to his house, and helped him get situated. She found out that his driver’s license was taken off him and he was not even supposed to be driving. He wanted a lottery ticket, so he went out.

Carol started thinking about how many other people were in the same situation. She did some research, and that is when she found out about Home Instead. Being able to help others is very meaningful to her and that is why Carol feels passionate about our motto, “To Us It’s Personal.”
