Homecare aids/caregivers will provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain safely in their homes. These services include companionship, home helper, and personal care. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead Care Professionals help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion.
Starting Regular Hourly Wage: $15.00 to $18.00
Primary Responsibilities:
- Companionship and conversation
- Provide assistance with ambulation/walking
- Prepare meals and clean up meal-related items
- Provide medication reminders and appointment reminders
- Running errands
- Accompanying clients to appointments
- Provide incidental transportation
- Assistance with bathing
- Assistance with dressing and grooming
- Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
At Hire: Must provide or pass the following:
- A criminal background check
- Driving record
- Fingerprint clearance (“Live scan”)
- Pre-employment drug test
- Documentation verifying legal right to work in the United States
- Possess a valid driver’s license (if providing incidental transportation services)
- Possess valid auto insurance (if providing incidental transportation services)
