My love for seniors truly began when I watched my grandfather, affectionately called "Honey," care for his wife. I grew up in Central Florida and didn't have much time with him or my grandmother till I went "North" to college in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My grandmother had suffered a stroke a few years before I arrived and experienced dementia afterward. While in college, I observed my grandfather patiently caring for her through the progression of the disease. I came to have a great respect for Honey, as he was patient with the wandering and confusion and met every new stage with love. Later, after her passing, he asked me if I would move in with him and I had the opportunity to care for him.

I am grateful for Home Instead because it has allowed me to help other families keep their parents and grandparents in their own homes. Although my grandfather is no longer with me, and I am no longer providing hands-on care as I once did for him, the personal satisfaction of making a difference for one grandfather has followed me into my career with Home Instead. To me, this is what makes Home Instead personal.

I was born in New Jersey and have lived there all of my life until moving to Winter Haven in May of 2014. I got married to my husband Phil in March of 2013 and we have five beautiful children all of whom are married. We also have 6 wonderful grandchildren

I love to cook and travel and I am a veteran of the United States Army. I am also a Past Commander of an American Legion Post in NJ.

I love people and I am excited about my future with Home Instead. Helping people and their families is one of the greatest and most rewarding gifts a person can receive.

I look forward to assisting you.

I was born in Groton, Connecticut into a Navy family and lived in Connecticut, Hawaii, Florida, Massachusetts, California, and New Jersey.

I met my husband, Tom, in New Jersey, where we got married in 1975. We have four children and they have given us nine grandchildren whom are the joy of our lives.

My professional education is in administrative studies. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and have previously managed two salons in New York. Additionally, I am a student of the Bible and have been the Assistant Director of a dance and drama team.

Alexis means “helper of mankind” and really identifies who I am and what I do. Being a team member of the Winter Haven Home Instead office enables me to make a difference in the world.

I was born and raised in Winter Haven, FL, where I am now raising my two beautiful children. I was raised by my grandparents, which created a special place in my heart for seniors. I was a CNA for over 14 years and worked in both long-term care and assisted living facilities, which prepared me for the blessing of being able to care for both of my grandparents at home.

I learned about Home Instead through my grandmother who worked for the company before she needed care herself. When my time caring for them was over, I started working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver. After working as a CAREGiver for about a year, I was asked to join the office team as a scheduler. I didn’t hesitate to join the team of people I already considered family.

I am excited to be a part of Home Instead where I can continue to make a difference to the lives or our clients and CAREgivers.

I have lived in Florida my whole life and have 4 beautiful children. In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, fishing, and hunting.

I started my career working at a hospital, which I stayed at for 24 years. At that hospital I found my passion caring for patients and their families. I am fortunate enough to have joined Home Instead nearly 5 years ago where I have been able to continue my love for caregiving. Home Instead truly embodies the definition of "it's personal to me," and every client and caregiver is part of our extended family.

I was born in New Jersey and began my nursing career when I graduated and became an RN in 1974. I worked for two years in a large teaching medical center when I found my love of geriatrics and went to work in nursing homes. I have worked nearly all levels of nursing positions in several different nursing homes. I hold certifications in gerontology and case management.

After the birth of my two children, I worked as a corporate quality improvement nurse for Methodist Homes of New Jersey, and oversaw the quality of care in our skilled facilities and assisted living.

After marrying my current husband in 1998, I took a position with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield working with a managed Medicare product. After that, I began to work as a complex case manager, and then as a quality manager.

When my husband retired in 2006, we moved to North Carolina where I travelled and worked for the Department of Health and Human Services inspecting nursing homes. I retired to Florida in 2012 and found that, after almost 40 years of working in the nursing field, I was missing the job.

So, when the opportunity of working for Home Instead came around, I was happy to find it. My husband and I live in Winter Haven, and are presently awaiting the birth of our two granddaughters.
