My mother broke her arm which limited her to moving around, getting out of bed, and doing some chores around the house. Home Instead, provided the care she needed during the hours that she needed, gave great service, and has wonderful caregivers that worked with her. Can’t say enough good things about Denise and Colette. I so appreciate the care and time spent with my father. I’m unable to be with him 24 hours a day but having them take care of him gives me great comfort. They have become an extension to our family. Home Instead as a whole have given great support to me as well. Sometimes we have last minute changes with addition or subtracting of time needed for his care. They are always accommodating with no hassles. I would recommend them if they need care for a loved one.
We could not be happier with the level of care & caring Mom has received since she moved into her “Home Instead” room. The staff is genuinely invested in making the lives of the residents better. My husband has a dementia that is slowly debilitating him. We have had a caregiver from Home Instead for some months now. We both benefit from their help. The housekeeping help is a life saver for me. Most importantly, the care, concern and attention that is shown him is priceless. Our caregiver helps him in all areas and she makes a big difference as his disease progresses. We are very happy with Home Instead of Parma. My mother has had in-home care for almost a year now and I have only good things to say about Home Instead. The administrative staff is always very friendly and responsive to any request I've made. My mother's health care worker, Val has been her care giver from the very beginning, and consistency matters. She is excellent with my mom who has some dementia and is unable to walk. The best thing about Val is she can make my mom laugh, and mom makes her laugh too! She also does her caregiving responsibilities in a very professional way and is always on time. I am very grateful that Home Instead was able to find a good match for my mother the first time around. I highly recommend their services.

I am so happy that someone from Home Instead was with my mom when she passed. She alerted us as soon as possible after she knew that my mom had passed. She stayed with her the whole time that she was suppose too. We only had 2 days with Home Instead, but they were the best 2 days for my mom and the family.
My wife is not able to take care of herself due to Alzheimer dementia. Home Instead was referred to us by our daughter-in-law who works in a hospital. We were impressed with the dedication, concern and professionalism of the nurse manager at Home Instead. The caregiver was punctual and provided all the personal help that my wife needs. She also helped up with light household chores. I will highly recommend Home Instead and their associates for home health needs of senior who prefer aging in place rather than in an organizational setting.
We have been with this service for over two years. Our main caregiver, Janesha, has always gone over and above seeing to my mother’s care. Even to the point of walking during a severe snowstorm to be here. Have only the highest praise for her work ethic.
My uncle, a senior, is alone in Ohio. All family live in Chicago (he will not move to Chicago).
My uncle is provided service by Home Instead, specifically, Sarah is his Home Instead caregiver.
Sarah is the absolute best! If it were not for Sarah and the help she provides for my uncle I don’t know what we would do. Sarah continually goes above and beyond, although staying within her limits and advising us of those limits, by seeing to it that his sheets are changed, laundry is caught up with, the house is straightened, dusted and vacuumed and makes him his favorite grilled cheese sandwich! She has such a wonderful personal touch with my uncle and he considers her a friend and looks forward to her visits. If I have a particular concern about my uncle or a housekeeping concern I can bring it to Sarah and she will offer her help if she can and she also keeps me informed of any concerns she may have via video chat from my uncles house. She is always in an upbeat mood which brings my uncles mood up which he really needs. Living alone he can sometimes get the blues and Sarah perks him right up. Sarah is invaluable in our lives. I pray that we can continue to work with Sarah for as long as needed because we literally cannot do without her! Home Instead and Sarah have been an absolute blessing in our lives, especially being so far from my uncle I know he and his household are being well cared for because of Sarah. Thank God for Home Instead and Sarah!
Home Instead has been wonderful! Communication is excellent. My mom's caregiver is kind and attentive. It's comforting to have an extra set of eyes on her while she's at home. My mom enjoys the conversations and activities they do together.

When we lost our father suddenly last year we were faced with the daunting challenge of keeping mom safe at home. He was her caregiver and the main reason she wasn't in an assisted living facility. How could we do this? Enter Home Instead. What a fantastic company. We met with Shannon who listened to our story and our concerns for our mother. She understood our care goals for mom and quickly setup a short meet and greet with a Home Instead caregiver. Mom and Dorothy connected immediately. She has now been a part of our family for over a year and mom is happy to be home and able to have some level of independence. Home Instead was there for us when we needed them most. I would highly recommend this caring/compassionate organization for anyone who needs assistance keeping a loved one home.....where they want to be!
We are very grateful to the Home Instead care givers and staff for providing such excellent support to our 93-year old mother. The organization was very accommodating in helping arrange a schedule that was most beneficial to our mom. They also were flexible to schedule changes that allowed us to take our mom for visits with out-of-town family. Home Instead truly allows seniors to stay in their home and benefit from the familiar surroundings, neighbors, and family. We would not hesitate in using Home Instead when a similar situation arises.

I can’t begin to thank the staff at Home Instead for everything they did for my Dad. They were very professional and provided my Dad with excellent care and because of this we were able to grant my Dad his wish of being able to finish his life journey in the comfort of his own home. They were there not only for my Dad but my Mom as well. Home Instead has cared for my 91 y old mother since October 2019. The entire staff puts the “care” in healthcare. Everything my mother needed help with, they were able to help. And, now my mother has moved to a house where she continues with Home Instead for round-the-clock healthcare. Thank you Home Instead!
Home Instead has been providing senior care services to my father for about two years. They met with us on day one, did an assessment of my father's needs and recommended a course of action based on our wishes. They have continued to stay in touch with us to verify that as my father's needs changed, they changed with him. My father has developed a close friendship with his caregiver, Judi, and Judi frequently contacts family members to keep them updated. We are very satisfied with Home Instead and feel fortunate to have found them.
I'm not a senior but following a stroke I needed some in home care the office staff goes above and beyond to find the best fit between caregiver and client my current caregiver dawn lintz has been my caregiver tice a week for 5 years my mom reached the for, her difficult decision that she needed to get some caregiving help with caring for my dad, he has advanced dementia dawn knew how frustrated I was that i could not due to my disability I was not able to help more dawn arranged her schedule so that she could do his cargiving and give me that added peace of mind I've had other aids from this company whose aids have become family one asked me to be the maid of honor at her wedding these people know what they are looking for in hiring their team members does not get any better than home instead have been thrilled with almost every caregiver they've sent to me I i didn't "click" with a specific caregiver they worked with me until we found the right fit.

I utilized the services of Home Instead when we brought my Mom home for Hospice Care. When I first contacted them I spoke with Joan, who told me they were probably 2 weeks out in terms of providing care but she would see what they could do. (I was calling on a short 2 or 3 day notice before when I would need the care for my Mom to begin). Within a couple of hours Joan called me back and said they could do it. Their nurse on staff, Kathy Appleby, came by and gave us tips and pointers in regard to care for my Mom and what to expect, which was greatly appreciated. The aides provided were excellent! We couldn't have asked for more caring, competent and professional individuals to help with the care for my Mom. It wasn't perfect. There were a couple of aides who just weren't a good match for the situation with my Mom, but when I brought this to their attention these aides were not scheduled again with my Mom. So I felt very much that they listened to me, provided me what I needed, and made accommodations when things weren't perhaps working as planned. They were also flexible in terms of modifying the amount of care provided when my Mom's needs changed. I can't say enough good things about Home Instead! There is no way I would have attempted to bring my Mom home for Hospice on my own, and the caring people here made my Mom's last wish possible. I will be forever grateful for the care they provided for my Mom and how my Mom was treated with such loving kindness in her last days. I highly recommend!
The home instead crew has been professional, efficient, friendly and very understanding in regards to caring for my mother. Betty has been tremendously helpful in every situation. Thank you all for your efforts.
In my case, I wanted someone to be with my mother primarily so I could 1-go shopping early one day a week, 2-work on a project in another part of the house without needing to stop and take care of my mom’s needs, and 3-have extra coverage while I was on vacation. My expectations of the caregiver were sometimes to assist mom with bathing and dressing as well as toileting, and to give pre-sorted meds, but also to interact with and engage my mother in activities which she enjoys. She also has needed supervision in ongoing physical therapy exercises. There were a few communication issues at first with the agency in understanding what was expected of each other. There has so far only been 1 time when the caregiver didn’t arrive on time. I haven’t personally interacted with all the caregivers who have taken shifts while I’m on vacation, but interactions that I did have were all satisfactory. The agency has worked diligently to get all the shifts covered that I needed - few hours in morning and few hours in evening.
While my husband was in a nursing home, the Social Worker did nothing to help me get home care. She laid pamphlets on his bedside table and I had to research things myself. I called several places that only discussed the price, and not the services. When I called Home Instead, the owner asked if I would speak with their nurse who explained everything to me and even made several stops at the nursing home to visit my husband and me. This convinced me to hire Home Instead. My husband developed a stage 3 bed sore while at the nursing home and lost 35 pounds. He was considered failure to thrive, was unable to bear weight, and was borderline hospice appropriate. I was told he may never walk again. The Caregivers from Home Instead kept him on a strict schedule and actually got him to walk with a walker, as well as transfer himself from the bed to the wheelchair. They provided high quality home care and the nurse always addressed my concerns. The Caregivers were good and the office staff always helped me when I called. Between the service from Home Instead, my husband's willingness to listen to them, and my cooking, he built his strength up and continues to do well. The nurse at Home Instead is truly our angel!
Home Instead Senior Care did a phenomenal job of caring for my mother who was recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. From the very beginning Cindy and Brian met with our family to gather information about my mother to match her with the best caregivers for her. A huge shout out to Janus and Erika who cared for my mother and treated her with the utmost respect. I was very impressed with Home Instead Senior Care because they truly cared about providing the best care for my mom and never failed to communicate with me and always filled our ongoing needs.

My husband had a stroke in March and we hired Home Instead to provide support, as I had to return to work in August. We needed basic care-giving, as my husband was able to dress, bath and feed himself but needed some assistance in performing basic exercises and transportation to/from activities. Home Instead provided excellent caregivers and Jeff enjoyed the time he spent with each. We would highly recommend Home Instead to others who are in need of their services.
I chose home instead to help me care for mom over year ago. I am very pleased with highly qualified caregivers that have been caring for mom. Every one has been kind and compassionate and the care given to my mom is wonderful. As moms disease progresses they are there to help, they treat her with a smile. Thanks to home instead I am able to continue working and keeping mom safely at home. The office staff also has always been very accommodating with my schedule and has never left us without a caregiver.
We have been using Home Instead Senior Care for a over a couple of months now. Prior to this we had been noticing an alarmingly rapid decrease in mom's mental health. With the Home Instead caregiver coming 3 days a week we are seeing if not a vast improvement, at least less of deterioration than before. The lady is keeping mom "in the game" so to speak, they talk, they play games, they go places. She helps with making doctor appointments and is there when we can't be, which is a great relief as we live a county away. She also alerts us to situations that require our attention and has talked mom into getting the life alert which we tried to talk her into but she simply didn't want to take our advice. Mom likes the caregiver a lot, her dog likes her a lot, all in all it has been a very positive experience. We had read that placing a patient with dementia in an assisted living situation could be detrimental to them, and I must say, that keeping mom in her own home, surrounded by her own things, has proved much better. I would and have recommended this organization to a few people.
I chose Home Instead North Olmsted to care for my mother while I travel as I reside in another state. The caregivers have always been friendly and on time and follow the instructions given. Diane and Erin are professional and friendly, working with me when I need to make changes in scheduling. I am able to put my trust in them to provide great care. They also do thorough checks of all of their caregivers, so that is added peace of mind.
I am trying to keep my mom living independently in her own home. My dad lost his battle with cancer which has progressed her dementia. The caregivers are very patient with my mom and keep her engaged. I can go to work and not worry so much. They all communicate very well with me. Not only with her progress but things needed in her home. They make sure she eats, takes her daily medication, and maintaining her personal hygiene. The log book is very helpful to view her progress and/or update the caregivers if there is something I need to tell them. I highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care. The care givers have all been wonderful and the office staff is very helpful!
Home Instead has done a terrific job caring for my Aunt in Ohio. I live in another state and keep in contact with the care coordinator Diane and Erin the scheduler, by email and phone. Both have been extremely responsive when i have questions or need to make a change. Erin always sees to it that my Aunt receives care when the regularly scheduled caregiver is absent. We have been using Home Instead caregivers for a couple of years for my mother who has dementia. All of them have been great to work with. They pay attention to details for what needs to be done and go the extra mile cheerfully. The office has been great to work with as well. They take of scheduling needs including times when an unscheduled need arises.
My mother is thrilled to have such a lovely caregiver who helps her a few hours a day, 5 days a week.It has lightened up our load as caregivers also which is a big deal.I would highly recommend this company. We have never been disappointed.

The three ladies who tended to my mom and dad were great. TeriAnn went above and beyond and developed a special bond with my parents. She often took them to breakfast prior to grocery shopping. All the caregivers were warm and compassionate.
