Care they deserve in the home they love

I have used Home Instead services since 2017 for two of my elderly aunts who did not have children, but wanted to remain at home. I am very pleased with the excellent care and selfless service provided by the caregivers. My aunts developed close relationships with their caregivers, and grew to really depend on them for their wellbeing. I was there for many of the interactions of the caregivers with my aunts and saw how compassionate and patient the caregivers were. This made me feel very at ease. The office staff were also incredibly compassionate and worked tirelessly to respond to any special requests or changes that I needed, especially when my aunts were both nearing the end of their lives and needed more round-the-clock care. I recommend Home Instead to everyone that I know that needs care for their elderly loved one.

The gratitude I feel for this organization is hard to put into words. My father passed away quite quickly from a stroke at 93. Because of the tender care and love we received from the Home Instead team, this stressful time became one of heartfelt pause, and gave us all the ability to experience a present moment awareness. This journey of my Fathers passing, would not have been as peaceful or as comforting of a transition from life to death for our family without Home Instead's amazing team. Moments, like when I walked into my Dads house in the morning to a care giver singing to my Dad, her beautiful voice filling up the room. The very last woman who was with my Dad when he passed, showed so much respect and love and care for him, making sure his hair was brushed, he was comfortable, and he looked his best. I will always, always remember this amazing team of people who were like angels always there when we needed them. When I was told my mother would need in-home care, I had no idea what to expect. As I started calling agencies on the list, most told me it would be three weeks before they could find someone. However, when I reached Libby Miller at Home Instead, it was like I found someone who understood I was overwhelmed and completely lost. She cobbled a schedule together of various caregivers until she could establish a set schedule. They provided not only light cleaning, laundry cleaning, but daily CAT BOX changing! I couldn't believe it. And they were so kind to my mom. They listened to her attentively, they gently bathed her and encouraged her with physical therapy. They were a Godsend for my mom's last 6 months, as well as a relief for me. I knew I could call any time, and someone would respond. Pamela in scheduling always kept me up to date with who would be there and at what time. Libby provided a lockbox for the front door, something I had not even thought of. Their people are the best.
