Home Care Intake Nurse, RN
Home Instead, a successful non-medical home care company for the elderly, is seeking a Registered Nurse for client intake and marketing. This is a full time position Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in Birmingham, MI. The Registered Nurse will take phone calls about services, meet with and register new clients, train CAREGivers, and follow-up with referral sources. Company car is available during working hours for required travel. Requirements: must be a Registered Nurse Primary Responsibilities: · Reflect the core values of Trusted Care at Home, Inc., (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise). · Conduct Service Inquiries calls from potential clients answering questions about services and private pay pricing. · Conduct Care Consultations to start-up new services with clients and make appropriate recommendations to new clients on the hours they should have in the home. · Conduct needs assessments for clients to ensure the needs of the client can be met by the agency’s resources and logs those assessments to communicate changes to the staff and client’s family. · Ensure that CNA and Home Health Aides have the competencies required for the clients to whom they are assigned, conducting open-houses for CAREGivers to facilitate our award-winning training programs. · Oversee Scope Expansion, responsible for training, documentation and sign off on certifications for CAREGivers. · Provide pre-service and in-service training for staff as needed. · Supervise the use of Universal Precautions by all staff. · Provide supervision of CNA and Home Health Aides according to state regulations and Home Instead Senior Care Policies and Procedures. · Assure the provision of training and competency evaluations for CNA and Home Health Aides. · Ensure the timely and accurate production of all required paperwork for the client’s plan of care, long-term care insurance, Home Instead Senior Care policies and procedures, and state/federal licensing and/or regulations. · Promote the longevity of CNA and In-home Aides through supportive supervision. · Participate in quality assurance through a cyclic record review. · Monitor computer system notifications and direct to the appropriate employee. · Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. · Learn, implement and use Sales Force. · Make relationships with referral sources within the company’s territory. · Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers. · Train CAREGivers on Scope Expansion skills in the office as needed. · Attend weekly staff meetings on Zoom Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00am. · Conduct employee COVID-19 testing as needed. We are seeking a multi-talented, professional and caring staff member. The Staffing Coordinator will be part of our Staffing Department, matching CAREGivers to clients. The right individual for the Staffing Coordinator position will have the ability to work in the office Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. The Staffing Coordinator will be assigned every other weekend to take emergency phone calls from the After-Hours Supervisor with staffing questions, typically 2-3 phone calls a weekend. Our office is located in Birmingham, MI but will be relocating to Clawson, MI by May 2021. Responsibilities: Reflect the values of Trusted Care at Home, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise) Track and reconcile Clear Care entries, and monitor the Clear Care dashboard during working hours Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner Create and maintain client and CAREGiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships. Coordinate and maintain CAREGiver and client schedules on a daily basis. Monitor, mediate, and log all client and CAREGiver activity utilizing the software system. Follow up with all client and CAREGiver issues to ensure their problems are resolved. Enter and maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records in the software system. Working independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meeting deadlines. Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and CAREGivers. Participate in CAREGiver meetings (Celebration Meetings and Open House Meetings). Assist with Human Resource functions as requested. Education/Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous geriatric, management, or staffing experience are preferred. One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly and to handle a fast-paced challenging environment. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office. Experience with handling client concerns and a strong desire to provide the highest quality service. Being organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively. Meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following checks: criminal history, motor vehicle driving record and drug test to be bondable.
