Meet Our Home Care Team

Anne Monaghan, General Manager
Anne Monaghan has been with the company since March of 2006. She serves as the General Manager for the franchise. She has worked in several roles over the years to include Staffing Coordinator, CAREGiver Experience Manager, Operations Manager, and now oversees the day to day operations of the company. Her insight into implementing engagement strategies has helped the franchise reduce turnover to half that of the national average for private duty home care companies. She was instrumental in redesigning and implementing the new Home Health Aide Certification program offered in the State of Michigan by the Michigan Homecare and Hospice Association. Anne is responsible for all CAREGiver training and re-certification in the franchise to include mandatory open house hands-on training and ensuring all CAREGivers complete required annual continuing education.
Anne has also served as a caregiver having cared for her mother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

Brittney Chapman, Human Resource Supervisor
Brittney joined Home Instead in April of 2021 as a Staffing Coordinator. Brittney believes that every aspect of a senior’s life should be tailor-made to complement their personality, needs, and lifestyle. Home Instead provides care that exemplifies these ethos which sparks a passion with Brittney. Her favorite part about her role is helping others to maximize their natural talents while embracing the culture of the organization. Happy CAREGivers = Happy Clients.

Kathy Kast, RN Home Care QA Coordinator
Kathy joined the Birmingham team in December 2019, as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. In her role, Kathy meets with potential clients and their families and then creates and implements the plan of cares specifically tailored to client’s medical, personal and household needs. She works closely with caregivers to ensure client satisfaction. Kathy trains new CAREGivers on scope expansion training which includes diabetic management. Kathy comes from a hospital setting specializing in neurology, with vast experience in all aspects of nursing care. She is passionate about helping seniors enjoy the comforts of home life with the help of dedicated caregivers.

Janice Winkley, RN Quality Assurance Coordinator
Janice joined the Birmingham team in January 2020, as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. In her role, Janice creates and implements a plan of care specifically tailored to client's medical, personal, and household needs. She works closely with caregivers to ensure client safety and satisfaction. Janice has a wide variety of nursing experience ranging from ICU to Public Health. Her love of seniors brought her to Home Instead, where she thoroughly enjoys working to keep seniors safe and healthy in their homes.

McKenna Swank, QA & Training Supervisor
McKenna joined Home Instead in October of 2017 as a CAREGiver. In January of 2021, McKenna became the Quality Assurance & Training Supervisor. In her role, McKenna ensures clients receive quality care from our CAREGivers. She does this by training each newly hired CAREGiver on what it means to live Home Instead and how to provide professional care built on trust and respect. McKenna oversees Home Instead’s Work Visa program, assisting our foreign workers with their transition into the United States and workforce. She is also responsible for completing Home Instead’s billing and payroll. McKenna takes pride in establishing positive relationships with CAREGivers and clients to make their Home Instead experience a memorable one.

Keelyn Fogerty, Staffing Coordinator

Mary Panetta, Receptionist
Mary started with Home Instead in August of 2019. Mary's family has been granted with long lives. So, she has helped family members through the different stages of Alzheimer's. Mary has gained a great respect for these family members, while working for many years with young children.
Then, Mary's daughter began an internship with the Alzheimer's association. Mary, who was already a supporter for years, became a team leader for the Alzheimer's walk in Grand Rapids. After that she made the transition from working with young children to working with older adults.
Mary admires the work the caregivers do, as well as works to help the office staff provide whatever they may need to care for the wonderful clients. Mary is typically the person to answer the phone when callers call Home Instead, as well as greet visitors at the front desk.

Anne Amodeo, CAREGiver Ambassador & Mentor
Anne started working at Home Instead in January 2022. For the last 20 years, she has taken care of her grandma who had dementia. After her grandma passed in 2021 she wanted to make a difference for others! Anne found her calling and her passion when she started caregiving. Becoming an Ambassador has given her the opportunity to become hands-on with more clients and caregivers!

Evalyn Heugh, CAREGiver Ambassador & Mentor
Evalyn started working at Home Instead in July 2018. Her friends told her that she should apply as a caregiver. She’s originally from the Philippines and she used to help her mom taking care of her grandparents when they went to visit them in her mom hometown. She grew up in Manila, Philippines with her family and grandparents. She used to watch her grandfather cook, and he’s a great cook. When she came to Michigan she helped her mother in-law took care of her mom. So when her friends told her about Home Instead she did not hesitate to apply. She got offer a job of being a caregiver, and she loved it ever since. She was the Caregiver of the Month for October 2020. Evalyn became a Caregiver Ambassador in January 2020. She likes to be an Ambassador because to meet a lot of clients and caregivers while doing introductions, deliveries and fill-in shifts.

Bert and Stephanie are the owners of Trusted Care at Home, Inc, the owner/operator of the Home Instead franchise in Birmingham, MI. They also own Copple Direct Home Care Supply LLC, Copple Properties LLC, and Real Leadership Company LLC.
