Nashville April 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Valarie H.
Say hello to Valarie H., the Nashville Professional CAREGiver of the month for April! Valarie has been with us for 16 years! She began in the office part time and decided to go into the field after she began having grandchildren. This gave her schedule the flexibility to be a part of their lives as well. Valarie has witnessed the birth of 12 of her grandchildren and calls it a “miracle”. Valarie is not short on miracles, as she has been in remission from lung cancer and brain lesions for many years! She says, “Most people are spiritual and need hope”. Valarie is there to provide that hope.
When Valarie is not helping clients, she can be found going on road trips with her husband. On a recent road trip to Gatlinburg, the pair took a path to Rainbow Falls. During their climb, they noticed scuff marks on trees and figured it meant they were on the right path. When they finally got back down off the path, it was getting dark, and they stopped at a restaurant for a much-needed meal. After telling the server their story, he said “You do know those marks were made by bears?”. After that they decided to tone down some of their adventures.
Valarie’s supervisor says, “Valarie is the CAREGiver I would want taking care of my family”. We sure are happy to have Valarie as part of our Home Instead team and hope she continues Sharing Her Heart with clients for many years to come.
