Here at Home Instead, we proudly care for our Veterans every day. We believe that our commitment to caring for their needs is one of the fundamental ways we can show just how much we value their service to our country and protecting our freedom.
1 in 3 seniors in this country is a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran.
These heroes may be eligible for a unique benefit through the VA called "Pension with Aid and Attendance." Millions of qualifying veterans and families go without this valuable benefit simply because of a lack of information or help that is afforded them.
Through our partnership with the VA, we are able to assist qualifying veterans and their spouses to apply for and obtain the Pension with Aid and Attendance benefit to help cover their medical expenses, including Home Instead services. The VA can simplify the incredibly complex process, reducing the stress and frustration for everyone involved.
The Veterans Administration has established qualification criteria for Veterans and/or the surviving spouses applying for the Pension with Aid & Attendance benefit.
- 90 days or more of active duty, with at least one day of service during a wartime period.
- Must have a non-service related medical condition which requires assistance with activities of daily living.
- Must meet asset requirements. (excludes home or car)
- Must meet income to medical expense ratio.
If you think you or your loved one may be an eligible candidate for this benefit please contact our Home Instead office at: (423) 893-9993
