Home Instead is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team and mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout Davidson and Davie Counties. Home Instead provides a variety of home care services that allow seniors to remain in their homes and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.
The RN’s main goal is to assist in managing the total care of our clients while upholding the standards of our agency. These are the important core responsibilities:
- Consult with physicians, hospitals/case managers, family members, and our administrative team to decide on a course of treatment
- Perform ongoing Client data collection
- Continuously educate clients, their families, and other caregivers on proper home care strategies and procedures
- Create and adhere to patient care plans
- Initiate or assist with emergency response measures
- Perform Initial Plan of Care for every Client
- Perform Quarterly Plan of Care for every Client
- Identify opportunities for increased hours
- Provide Caregiver Personal Care Education and other continuing condition trainings
- Assess clients’ condition during every visit and track any observations
- Build trust and form relationships with patients and care coordinators, senior care professionals in the community
- Deliver exceptional patient experience through service, responsiveness, and care
- Direct and delegate appropriate tasks to Caregivers
- Monitor Caregiver care staff for technique and adherence to company policy and procedural direction
- Serve as a resource for Client Care staff
- Research and pursue professional development opportunities
- Know, follow, and support the philosophy and mission of the company
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Make recommendations for devices that might improve the client’s quality of life
- Listen to clients and be prepared to respond to concerns or requests
