As one of Steve Sheski’s siblings and speaking for myself and on the behalf of the entire Sheski family, starting May 27, 2026, when Steve Sheski returned to his Madison home, we gratefully thank the experienced and very caring staff from Home Instead who provided home health care services 24/7 to Steve, especially Emily and Mustafa (spelling?), every day up through June 25, 2026. Our great experience started when Tim and his team met us in the hospital to start caregivers the following day. The caregivers were gentle and kind to my Mom and kept me company. They jumped right in to cook, clean, shop, and make my mom comfortable. Their care during end of life was wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Home Instead was there when we needed them absolutely 100%. We needed respite from our family 24/7 care and they provided our beautiful and home Care person that was absolutely beautiful and kind to our mom. We would recommend them 100% for anyone looking for respite care for a loved one that needs a break or long-term care for someone that wants to remain it and then their home.

As a member of the Home Instead team, I can honestly say this is a company that truly cares. I see firsthand the effort that goes into supporting both our caregivers and our clients every day. We strive to create a positive, respectful environment where employees feel heard and valued, and where quality care is always the top priority. It’s important to me to be part of a team that leads with compassion and integrity, and that’s something I consistently see in how we operate. I’m proud to be part of an organization that genuinely works to make a difference in people’s lives, both for the clients we serve and the employees who make that care possible.

Home Instead has truly been a blessing in the early stages of my career. I started as an intern, and from day one, they invested their time, resources, and trust in helping me grow my knowledge of the home care industry. More importantly, they taught me what it means to lead and serve with a “heart first” approach—something that has stuck with me ever since. They played a major role in shaping where I am today, both professionally and personally. If you have a loved one in need of home care support, I highly recommend making Home Instead a top priority.

A registered nurse leads the quality team and oversees all Nurse Directed Services (NDS) plans.

Roberto Chavez was named Home Instead's Care Pro of the Year for 2026. He understands that caregiving is about far more than completing the tasks on a care plan — it is about developing the connection and trust necessary to help people keep doing the things that bring meaning and enjoyment to their lives.

Roberto brings his own personality to his work. His interests include flowers, gardening, fruits and vegetables, animals, nature, people and rock and roll. He believes in bringing joy into his clients' lives, even if that sometimes means subjecting them to what he freely admits is his 'horrible singing.' His philosophy: trust must be earned and meaningful progress sometimes happens through very small steps.
