Meet Our Team
Since 2001, Home Instead Spokane has been dedicated to helping local seniors live safely and comfortably at home. Our team is made up of caring, experienced professionals who are passionate about making a difference.
Guided by our core values — Joy, Compassion, Professionalism, Growth, and Generosity — we work together to deliver exceptional care with a personal touch. We believe relationships matter, and we are honored to support families throughout Spokane County with reliable, thoughtful, and compassionate service.
Whether in the office or in the home, our team shows up each day with hearts and hands ready to help.

Erik Hanson: Owner
Erik and his family are proud to be part of the Home Instead family here in Spokane. Erik grew up in Redmond; met his wife while attending WSU, and started his career as a teacher in Tacoma. After nearly 20 years in ministry as a pastor in Berkeley CA and Boulder CO, Erik returned to Spokane with a deep love for people and a passion to see them flourish and live well at home.
Erik and his family ski at Mt. Spokane in the winter and soak up the sun at Sasheen Lake in the summer. They dote on their two labradoodles, and you’ll often catch them cheering on their own kids on a soccer field or track.

Kristina Bentz: Office Manager
Kristina joined Home Instead in 2018, bringing with her a heart for service. What began as a new opportunity quickly turned into a passion as she discovered the deeply rewarding nature of working in home care. Over the years, Kristina has served in several roles within the office, starting as a Care Professional and eventually stepping into the position of Office Manager. She also oversees billing, payroll, and compliance for our VA contracts—ensuring that every detail is handled with care and integrity.
Outside of work, Kristina enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her athletic daughters, and tending to her small family farm in Elk, WA—a property that has been in her husband’s family since 1974.

Tiffani Hughes: Service Coordinator
Tiffani joined the Home Instead team in 2023 and is always seeking the best match for our clients and Care Professionals. She coordinates the schedules and keeps our Home Instead team moving in the right direction.
Tiffani studied Human Services at the University of Pheonix and enjoys reading, volunteering to serve the homeless, baking and providing comedic relief to all those around her. She enjoys the Northside of Spokane and exploring places like Bowl and Pitcher.

Maddie Queen-Richards: Recruitment Specialist
Maddie joined the Home Instead of Spokane team in March 2025. They’re a communication graduate with experience in a variety of fields, from editing to retail and office administration. Their passion for recruitment began when Maddie helped hire caregivers for local veterans. Maddie loves getting to spend their days talking to potential Care Pros and is passionate about finding caregivers who will make a positive impact on the aging community of Spokane.
Outside of work, Maddie spends most of their time with family and friends. Their idea of a perfect afternoon is getting together with loved ones to play card games and share a meal. Both Maddie and their spouse are artists as well, and you can find some of their pieces in the office. As a Spokane native, Maddie grew up near Manito Park and adores the city.

Jenny Gower: Training + Retention Coordinator
Jenny started her journey with Home Instead in 2009 as a Care Pro. In 2014, Jenny joined the office team as Recruiter, Retention Coordinator and Scheduler. Jenny currently works with our Care Professionals, ensuring that all our highly trained staff are meeting Washington State and Home Instead standards.
Jenny loves to travel, do genealogy, invest time in church activities and spend time with family. Jenny loves the four seasons of Spokane but feels that summer in the Spokane area is the very best!

Erin Daniels: Client Care Coordinator
Erin is a dedicated Client Care Coordinator and compassionate Care Professional committed to enhancing the well-being of clients through personalized and attentive support. With a strong passion for service, Erin brings warmth, professionalism, and reliability to every interaction.
Outside of her professional role, Erin enjoys hiking at Liberty Lake Regional Park, volunteering at animal shelters, and raising service dogs, combining her love for the outdoors and animals with a deep commitment to giving back to the community.

Bernice Rohde: Client Care Coordinator
Bernice brings over 5 years of caregiving experience and has a 25 year background in banking and marketing that she brings forward to her role as our Client Care Coordinator. Bernice is passionate about building relationships with, and supporting seniors with compassion and respect.
Outside of work, Bernice enjoys quilting and is a proud member of the Quilt of Valor Foundation. She finds joy engaging with her growing family, especially her great grandchildren. Bernice also loves spending a lovey evening on the beach at Liberty Lake.

Reese Hanson: Student Intern
Reese joined our team in 2024 as a beloved and compassionate Care Pro. He has been interning with our Client Care Coordinators this summer and is a full-time student at Whitworth University.
Reese loves dogs, running track, and spending time in the woods—and he brings that same energy, patience, and care to the work he does. Reese is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and respected. Whether he is out on a trail or working with families, Reese believes in showing up fully and making meaningful connections every day.
