From ensuring safe housing to connecting people with community resources like housing, food, and healthcare, social workers are the advocates who ensure that no senior or patient is ever forced to navigate the healthcare system alone. Since March is Social Work Month, we wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for the social workers serving older adults and their loved ones throughout Virginia Beach.
Our team visited various rehab centers, hospice offices, and hospitals to hand out tiny plants, cards, and pens to these professionals. It was great to get out and meet with our local senior care partners and personally thank them for the compassion they bring to their roles every day.
