PRN Caregiver

Home Instead is seeking caring and compassionate CAREGivers to join our team and help fulfill our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.As a CAREGiver, you will provide non-medical services that help seniors remain safely and comfortably in their own homes while meeting the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping and household tasks
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Alzheimer's and dementia care
• Providing compassionate assistance with daily activities
• Treating clients and their property with dignity and respect
• Building positive relationships and communicating in a friendly, professional manner

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with seniors
• Dependable, trustworthy, and patient
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required if driving clients
• Previous caregiving experience required
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Norfolk
• Has to be ok with all animals including cats and dog

Schedule

• Availability required: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Monday-Friday and/or Weekend availability

Compensation

• $16.00 per hour
