In 2012, Sarah Wheeler Reilly transitioned careers and joined Home Instead, driven by a deep-rooted calling to make a difference in people’s lives. What began as a leap of faith into caregiving quickly turned into a profound journey of purpose. Sarah found herself particularly drawn to working with seniors facing complex conditions, especially those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Although she entered the profession with the intent to serve, Sarah soon realized that the experience would shape her just as much as she shaped others' lives. “Each senior I’ve cared for has given me something priceless, their stories, their wisdom, their trust,” Sarah reflects. “Earning the confidence of their families and providing peace of mind has been one of the greatest rewards.”
For Sarah, caregiving is far more than a career, it’s a mission to uplift, to teach, and to lead with compassion. Her dedication evolved into a new role as a Care Professional Mentor and Trainer, where she now helps others discover the same sense of purpose through their work.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah finds joy in the outdoors. She often explores the scenic canyons of Salt Lake City alongside her husband and their beloved yellow Labrador, Duke.
Sarah’s dedication and expertise play a vital role in strengthening Home Instead’s team and the high-quality care we deliver, including our Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care services—where she supports families and mentors fellow caregivers in providing respectful, heartfelt care for those living with memory challenges.
