Hiring Part-Time Home Care Nurse

Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

As a nurse for our organization you will work as part of the team providing excellent service to our seniors and CAREGivers. You will be responsible for creating a plan of care for our seniors, coordinating with other providers for the client, reviewing client plans, and ensuring that the agency meets all standards of quality of care. You will also provide training to the CAREGivers, supervising the provision of services by the CAREGivers, and collaborate with the Scheduling Department for the annual CAREGiver evaluations.

This job requires in-home client assessments, quality assurance visits, as well as, teaching a portion of our multi-phase training program for our new CAREGivers.

We service Wake County.

Cities included: Raleigh, Knightdale, Wake Forest, Garner, Clayton, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina and surrounding areas .

This position will specifically serve the northern half of Wake County. Cities include: North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Train new CAREGivers
  • Assess patients: collect and document patient’s current health status. Make accurate and ongoing assessment of clients’ status and respond appropriately
  • Create a plan of care, and perform periodic client quality assurance assessments via in person visits and phone calls
  • Help maintain compliance with all Home Instead Corporate, Federal, State, and Local standards and regulations while constantly working to find solutions to meet client’s needs.
  • Work closely with Care Coordination and Scheduling to communicate all client needs

Qualifications:

  • A nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Must have valid RN license and be in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing.
  • Must have at least three years’ experience in a home care setting.
  • Previous geriatric, training, and sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Patience and congenial when with clients, staff, and on the telephone
  • Knowledge of our senior care industry
  • Effective in working and collaborating with others toward a common goal.
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid car insurance.
  • Use a computer, including programs like Excel and Word
