If you've ever looked up at the Texas sky in search of celestial wonders, Home Instead found a group that educates others about the stars and planets. We are spotlighting Frisco Starfest, held at Frisco Commons Park, 8000 McKinney Road!
The second Saturday of each month, the Texas Astronomical Society hosts a FREE "star party" that is a favorite for local seniors and families. The next event is Saturday, February 14th, and because it’s weather-dependent, it officially kicks off 30 minutes after sunset. Several telescopes will be set up for the public to use, and experts will be on hand to help.
The organizers recommend checking the Texas Astronomical Society Google Calendar after 6pm on the day of the event to ensure the clouds haven't spoiled the fun. Visit www.texasastro.org for more information.
As Home Instead strives to provide the best home care in Frisco, TX, we love sharing unique community events that keep our neighbors curious about the world (and the universe) around them. If you or a loved one needs support at home or transportation to events and appointments, give us a call!
