My mother moved into University Place in Abilene this past summer. She has reached the stage in life where she needs help with household chores and tasks but she is still capable of taking care of herself. I did research into hiring an assistant to help mom with her daily chores. I found Home Instead and they offered different levels of service to choose from that suit mom’s needs. They’ve been helping my mother for 5 months now and their service is amazing. Mom’s life is much easier with the help of Home Instead. I must also add one more note… Home Instead employee Branson Hurt has gone over and above providing help to my mother, including picking up a prescription after hours - on his way home, and dropping them off to my mother. Branson had been a God send for my mother and our family.

Elisa with Home Instead at the Rose Park Wellness Expo was very knowledgeable about their services and was willing to talk about the services they provide that are helping people every day! Specifically the “dementia whisperers” and how beautifully they are able to work with specific clients that are struggling.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are incredibly grateful to Home Instead for the respite care they provided for our dad during an especially difficult and emotional time for our family. Having people we could trust to help care for him gave us peace of mind when we needed it most. A very special thank you to Branson, who was always willing to go the extra mile. He was one of the most genuine people we had the pleasure of meeting. Whatever Dad wanted or needed, Branson did his best to make it happen. I remember Dad wanting some Pepto from the store, and Branson simply took care of it. It may seem like such a small thing, but when you're caring for someone who is sick, those little things mean so much. What meant even more to us was that when Dad was in the hospital and Home Instead wasn't providing his care, Branson would still call or stop by just to check on him. He genuinely wanted to know how Dad was doing. That kind of compassion goes far beyond a job description, and our family will never forget it. Shannon deserves a huge thank you as well. Her calming voice whenever she answered the phone was always reassuring. She was our middle person, making sure our questions, concerns, and messages got where they needed to go. She was patient, kind and always made us feel heard. During a time when there were so many moving pieces, knowing we could call Shannon was a comfort. And then there is sweet Josephina. She brought such a gentle presence into Dad's care. She was caring and compassionate, but she also had that little bit of sternness when Dad needed it, which let's be honest, sometimes he did! She knew how to care for him without making him feel helpless. Josephina treated Dad with patience, kindness and dignity. She didn't just see him as someone who needed assistance, she saw Dad. She took the time to be there with him, to make sure he was okay and to care for him in a way that felt personal. There is something incredibly special about someone who can walk into a difficult situation and bring a sense of calm and comfort with them. We are so thankful that these three people crossed our family's path during such an important and difficult chapter of our lives. Caregiving is exhausting and emotional, and having people who genuinely care can make such a tremendous difference. Branson, Shannon, and Josephina—you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for caring for Dad, but even more importantly, thank you for caring about Dad.

Home instead has been a lifesaver for my family. Branson has been especially helpful in all aspects of transitioning my mother into having a caregiver. He's kind and helpful and goes above and beyond even for the family members and their emotional needs. I couldn't recommend a company more. And my mom's caregiver is Carla and she is top tier! Thank you to home instead for allowing my mom to have a little more Independence and still being cared for. Tina Little
