Home Instead Knoxville is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Part-TimeScheduling Assistant to manage Client and Caregiver schedules. This role is critical to ensuring smooth daily operations, on-time project completion, and efficient use of personnel and assets.

The Scheduler Assistant is responsible for coordinating and maintaining daily schedules. This role ensures timely service delivery by matching caregivers’ availability with client needs, managing schedule changes, and communicating effectively with team members and clients.

Essential Job Functions

  • Communication with Clients, Caregivers, and Admin Team.
  • Handle client and caregiver scheduling requests, changes, and cancellations.
  • Maintain scheduling software and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Monitor and resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Excel, OneDrive, Wellsky).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with shift scheduling or workforce planning software.
  • Primarily office based.

Education/Experience:

  • 1-2 year experience in home care, health care or senior-related industry required, an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Preferred: Can navigate windows easily and learn innovative programs quickly. Must be self-sufficient in handling complex computing tasks.
  • Preferred: Excellent driving record and background record.
